Pretty much a no brainer here. Be a high school standout, go to college be good enough there to get selected in the draft. Most teams do NOT offer an open to the public tryout. However, I heard the lame *** team I cheer for the Minnesota Vikings are going to have open tryouts to the public. First time ever, you may want to check their site or contact their offices. GOOD LUCK!! a walk on to a NFL is very rare but it has happen. If i was u i would go join a semipro team or go to college and play football or join the CFL dont take steroids Well what position are you playing? And you definitely need a very fast 40 time on top of being a high school stand out and a college player. I'd say go to college for one year and see how it goes. Most college coaches can set up a meeting with an agent of some sort, and they do the rest of the paperwork, and a lot of colleges with good programs are inexpensive for one year or even one semester, which is all that is needed to play ball. Anyone can correct me here, but I'm pretty sure you can go pro straight out of high school in NFL. It's just that few agents will sign with you, few kids can afford an agent, and no kids are ready. You need to have finished high school at least 3 years ago. Other than that, all you need is an invitation from the team. So try contacting some people who work for the team's scouting department and ask what you need to do to be invited to training camp or at least get their scouts to take a look at you. |
