Recommendations for a Portable Power Generator for football game tailgate parties?

I'm looking for a portable power generator to run a TV and Direct TV at our tailgates. I've researched the Honda EU1000i, Coleman Powermate 1800, and Subaru 1000w generators. I think the Honda is the best but also much more money than I want to spend. I would like a generator that will not have to be filled constantly, not too loud, and will last a while. My budget is $300-$400. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is the Coleman a good piece of equipment? How loud is it? Thanks

By far the Honda is the best. Quiet and easy start. I have 3 Honda EU2000i's in my business. Honda rocks.

Guess I should add... I have never used a Subaru. Coleman Powermate is just ok.

An "Inverter" hooked up to the vehicle makes no noise and might do the job for you . . . Not very large and can be mounted permanently to the car for whenever you need some AC current . . . . Check out the models available at auto parts stores and Truck stops . . . The truckers use them a lot . . .

The Honda is for sure the best of those 3. I've got a Coleman - didn't want to spend the money on a Honda. It's a quality piece of equipment for the price and runs really well. It is kind of loud, but not so loud that you have to shout over it to have a conversation.

Save your money and buy a Honda EU2000 it will be well worth your piece of mind.it's not wise to spend any money on something that will not delver the performance you need.
