What do NFL teams do with used equipment?

I am wanting to buy a used helmet from my home team and have no idea where to go other than a broker.

Man, they sell these items for more than double their cost new, just because it was used by some celebrity player on an NFL team. How would you know that the helmets are the real Mccoy?

in HS football, most of our equipment was from the seahawks.

i mean pads and such....
not the bruisers or anything like that.
and i believe the helmets were bought because of saftey rules.

hehh...i'm not sure about other teams though.

they clean them up and sell
them.... I have a signed eagles
helmet from a play off game...
it was like 500 bucks....you might
first want to check a sports store at you mall
or an online sports store.....it'll prob be cheaper
=]

Sometimes they get donated to small colleges or universities. They are too big for youth leagues. I would try to call the team public relations office especially if you have a good verifiable purpose.

The used stuff is a rip-off. You can buy a brand-new authentic helmet for about $270 and it won't have someone else's sweat in it.

i think they donate the stuff
