| What extra equipment should I buy for football? |

Other than the stuff your school provides, (jerseys, pads, pants, medical tape... ya know...) what do I need? Right now, I only plan on buying cleats & gloves 'cause that's all I can think of getting, at the moment. Anything else? I'll be playing fullback/TE on offense and SS on defense, by the way... just in case you know of something that someone playing any of those positions should have, I thought I'd tell ya... |

the "rib protector" should be provided to you if you actually need one, but you will need to buy cleats, mouth piece, and a chin strap for sure, the ones the helmets come with are crap. I would invest in a wrist band to put on the chin strap. But really thats about it everything is provided or your coach will let you know. Oh yeah if you havent already bought your cleats, make sure that you spend some good money on them, make sure that you get detachable cleats that way you can change them out when they wear down instead of buying new cleats. |

If you like your NADS, buy a jockstrap and Cup.... maybe a cup...duh well i like to buy a neack protecter and i also have my own chin strap but maybe that is just because my school has S**T equipment that hasent been replace in 20 years well anyway i like a neack protecter because last year before i got one i almost had to miss a game because of a neack injury that could have been prevented cup, mouth guard, rib pads and aggression well other than a cup a cowboy collar or neck roll will absorb shock. Maybe sweat bands for style. A visor would look nice. A head beanie is what Steve Smith wears. You could get a rib gaurd. But to be honest you seem set to go. protecting the jewels is impportant but at high school level all it does is slow u down no body i no including me wears a cup anymore but if ur a fullback look for a rib protector you'll need it even at ss in case u get cracked Rib pads, mouth guard, gurdle, cup, and wrist guards. |
