Hey there, for most of my life I have played flag football. Not till recently did a bunch of people started to form teams and we started to play tackle鈥? Some have equipment but most don鈥檛. So, basically where can I find the basic football equipments? (Helmet, upper body guard etc鈥? And how in the world will I know what fits me? I have to buy the equipment ONLINE, so how will I know what fits?
Also, does anyone know of a good web site that shows (teaches) me how to hit hard or how to tackle the life out of someone? Also how move better or how not to get badly tackled?

From reading your last line, i don't think you're so experienced

To tackle
Keep your head up stay low and keep your head to the inside of them (towards the middle of the field)
and drive your shoulder pad into their belly button.
Always keep your feet moving and never stop running.
Also, don't be afraid to get hurt, its football. Pain is what you want when you play football.
Also, don't stop moving once you reach them and try to bring them down with your back and arms. Keep on running through them and drive them backwards. don't close your eyes either. Thats one reason why a lot of tackles are missed.

Right now, don't concentrate on pounding someone on the ground so they get hurt. Concentrate on just bringing the ball carrier down. Don't over pursue, break down, don't just dive at their body. Put your shoulder pad into them, wrap up, and bring them to the ground.

To not get tackled hard, just stay low. If someone is about to tackle, cover up the ball, and throw your own shoulder into them. and try to fall over on top of them. Usually gains about an extra yard, yard and a half.

One key thing, don't be scared. Also remember, anything is better then a touchdown, so even if he does get a 98 yard run and you tackle him at your own one yard line, its better to make a stand then let him go in.

You also need to have the will and pride to bring down someone, regardless if their twice as big as you.

Since you don't have the experience, I would recommend you go to a sporting goods store. Academy Sports & Dick's Sporting Goods can assist you.

When tackling someone, keep under control, keep your head up and watch their mid section. They can try to juke you with head & arm movements, but their stomach is going where they go. Put your shoulder into them and wrap them up with your arms.

To keep from getting tackled, don't let them catch you.
