| Should all field goal/extra point holders wear gloves? |

I see no reason why they shouldnt. Sure would have helped Romo. I wouldnt think you would need much "feel" to perfom this job. |

he should use Stick-um like Lester Hayes of the Raiders but not near as much as Lester did |

They are allowed to if they want to. What romo did this weekend really wasnt about his hands slipping, it was more about the stress. I Mean, think about it. Its his first playoff game ever, hes an insant star, a pro bowler, he turned the team around. He probably started thinking what would happen if he screwed up, and well, he screwed up. No, maybe precondition the balls like recently done for game balls. Dick I understand that, I was merely suggesting the rule be changed, as was just changed this off season because of Manning and Brady going to the competition committee. i dont think they would for the same reasons quarterbacks dont wear gloveson theyre throwing hand, its all about the precision Don't listen to Ryan M. Roethlisberger use to wear a glove. I think they should at least work the ball in a little or wear stick-um. I know stick-um was not legal when I played football in high school but I have no idea about NFL rules. Anj a - They can't condition the football, because for all kickoffs, field goals, and extra points, the NFL uses special "K-Balls" which more or less amounts to a brand new, straight-out-of-the-box football. They've done this for the last 5+ years. |
