Because they were handed to them when they walked through the entrance just for support. and the green is called Seahawk Green Look at the collar of the uniforms they have the same green on them..I just asked the same thing lol Seattle's wide receiver Deion Branch wears green gloves instead of the traditional black. The green gloves in the stands are a sign of support for Branch. Team colors are Blue-White-and Green Seattle's team color is sort of a green color. They are just showing support for their team while tryng to stay warm. That is what the anouncer said.
