Do Gloves effect catching?

they help, as long as they are not too wet

No, gloves don't start catching. However, gloves may affect catching.

SOMETIME YES AND SOMETIME NO

yes gloves affect catching.it gives u more grip on the ball so it wont slip out of Ur hands as easy as it would without.trust me on this one I'm a college wide receiver

Definitely they do, in a positive way. As long as you focus on catching with your hands and not your body, and keep your hands soft, you should be fine, even better with gloves. They do provide more traction and improve your grip. You also tend to fumble less. Just don't pass with gloves, EVER...
