| First time hs football player? |

This is my first year playing hs fball, im going to be a junior and im 16, im relatively big and out of shape lol, im 6'2.5" and 215, i went through conditioning in july and yesterday was the first pad practice, my head killed after wearing a helmet, my question is are helmets supposed to hurt that bad? i thought i was guna faint, and also currently im at de/ot, do you think that is a good position for me? and how can i know if my helmet is too tight? any help would be great, thanks also when will practices get easire usually? Like when will i get more used to it? |

NO PAIN..NO GAIN... Well yes the helmet hurts like hell the first couple times you use it. It will hurt like hell the whole season. The thing is that you will get used to it by the first game and you wont even realize the helmet is on your head. Also the practices usually don't get easier even when you are used to them. You will usually get on a routine that happens from week to week. Like no hitting the day before a game. The position that you are at is a good position for you. With your hight and weight, you should do fine. if its causing you pain talk to a coach. and thats a good spot for you position wise. you have good size you shoulda played sooner. my helmets hurtz until my head forms to the padding.....youll b ight jus go crack some headz yung boul |
