because the taxpayers of new york don't want to pay for the building of a new stadium in new york,.the jets tried a couple of years ago on the west side of Manhattan.it was voted down.new york is crowded enough as it is.plus the meadow lands is in north new jersey so it only takes 20 to 30 minutes for new yorkers to get there.

The dallas cowboys stadium is actually in Irving, and their new stadium will be built in Arlington.
