| Old jerseys ... what do you think? |
|
Okay, I work in a sports bar. While I love baseball and appreciate other sports, I hate to say it.... I hate football. As soon as we are out of pre-season we have to have NFL jerseys to wear on certain nights. Me and another girl from work went thrift store shopping (I'm not spend $84 on a jersey of a team I could care less about, and our boss just wants a jersey.) Anyway... we both found jerseys in the little boys section, but they aren't up to date player wise. Mine is a Seattle Seahawks shirt with Galloway and 84 on it). I looked him up on Wikipedia and realize this isn't his team anymore. Because it is his first team out college, does that still make it okay, or is that totally lame? Oh- no comments about the Seahawks, I don't know anything about them, I got it because we both found the only two jerseys they had :) ) |

Personally, I think it would be cool if I were to see you wearing that Seahawks jersey. I know he doesn't play for Seattle anymore, but when he did he was one of the best in the NFL! As a matter of fact, he had his best years while he was playing for the Seahawks! Also, wearing "old school" sports jerseys is very popular, so I would say you should definitely not have any reservations about wearing that jersey. |

Retro jerseys are very popular, the old Seahawks jerseys are a lot better looking than the grayish ones they have now. Also if you are required to buy jerseys then the bar should pay for them not you. Report It I would think you knew more about football then me. Report It Its just a "Throwback". Its all good. Report It You should only wear a 'throwback' jersey if you actually bought it when it was new. I wouldn't buy one of those 'throwback' jerseys now. That's like a fake way of saying you were a fan even way back when. Report It lots of players change teams over the year - doesn't mean you have waste your money and buy the latest one every year - get the out of date one - if they are requiring you to wear it, they should pay for it You should never be embarassed about wearing an Ohio State alumnies jersey like Joey Galloway. And why isn't your boss giving you girls jerseys to wear? Or at least reimbursing you ? You should be fine. Most patrons won't even notice. Even if they do, there should be no compaints made against you. It doesn't matter. He played with the team once. And lets be honest, after most guys have had enough to drink they could care less what is on the shirt they are more interested in what is under the shirt. I dont think it matters. As long as you have a jersey I dont think it should matter. They will be too drunk and caught up in the games to probably even notice that. Besides, the Seahawks aren't really a huge market team, so unless you live in Seattle, then after Hasselbeck, Alexander, maybe Tatupu, most people can't name anyone else on the team anyway. it doesnt matter anymore with free agency players change teams every year so all that matters is what team is on the jersey---u shouldve let me know i wouldve sent you a baby blue chargers jersey i got a few laying around from my ex lady i stopped reading when you said you hated football |
