I have a #82 Dante Hall Chiefs jersey. I want to sew a piece of fabric with "Bowe" screen printed on it over the name "Hall" on the jersey, effectively re-naming the number. Anyone have experience altering jerseys like this? I've seen some knockoffs on eBay with sewn on nameplates, so I know it can be done I just don't know where I should take my jersey to get it done.

I don't know where you live, but in my city we have a place called sport's logo. It's a small shop that can do whatever you want to any piece of clothing. This is where local high school teams and baseball leagues and basketball leagues all go to get there jerseys, jackets etc... You should look for one in your area.
