| Fat loss suggestions for wrestling/football? |
|
I am a freshman in highschool, football/wrestler/baseball...This is all good but I am severely overweight for my height 5'2; 149 lbs. My previous wrestling club wantted my weight where it was. Now, my wrestling coach wants me down to 119 to fill a spot on the team that is empty (private school) |

Any weight or fat loss regimen should be anchored on lots and lots of cardio. Since you're apparently a legit athlete, running shouldn't be hard for you. But you gotta run hard, that is, with intensity. Alternate your regular runs or jogs with short sprints of about 10 to 15 seconds at 70 - 90% effort and you'll surely lose a lot. |

Try searching it on google or something but before you work on anything like to do with muscles, you have to work off fat. Don't do crunches cause that gives you ab muscles (you will want to do this but after you lose the weight). Try running or going to a local gym. A stair climbing machine is very good for weight loss and so is a treadmill. Even if your young you can diet too. Try Weight Watchers. In that, I'm pretty sure ever food is worth a certain amount of points and your supposed to eat only a certain amount a day. It's better than ones where you limited to certain foods. And if you like fruits/veggies then eat those when your hungry. It'll take a lot of work and you might get really frustrated but keep with it and don't give up. Before you try to lose 1 pound for wrestling, your coach needs to check with the NFS (National Federation of State High School Associations) about how much weight you can lose. I'm pretty sure that dropping 30 pounds is not permitted. |
