Should michal vick be suspended?

even though, he has not been proven guilty. Pacman Jones was suspended for the upcoming season on a shooting outside a strip club even though he has not been convicted

Yes.

I will be raising the roof with the NFL if he's not suspended! Now that he's saying he was involved... he should do time like anyone else for abuse of the dogs. People have served time over one dog, let along how many in this case? He should go to club Fed for a while. Report It

Goddell has to walk the walk. He must do it or Jones and Tank have discrimination suits ready to go.

yes I think that anyone that's accused of a crime as bad as what Michael Vick is should be suspended. He's a scumbag.

All that evidence was IN HIS HOUSE. He's definitely guilty. The NFL should suspend him! And he deserves a harsh punishment from the court, what a jerk. That is so cruel, dogs buried in his yard? Electricuted, hung and drowned? He's sick!!

I hope Michael Vick rots in jail, much less be suspended from the NFL. I am awake at this time of the morning because of nightmares about what that A hole has done. I hope he pays dearly for his part in these dog fights and murders. I will hate him until the day I die. It would not be a good thing for me to run into him on the street. It will not be a good thing for him to walk out onto any football field in America--he belongs in jail with the other thugs, thieves and murderers

If the commissioner is going to remain consistent with his "zero tolerance" policy, then yes he should be suspended indefinitely - maybe until the trial is over, possibly suspended from the NFL all together.

This whole thing is a huge black eye and a distraction for the NFL - players and fans alike.

I can't believe that the max sentence for this kind of crime is only 6 years - that seems a little on the low side to me. These are pretty disturbing acts to be charged with - nasty, inhumane and heinous.

Definitely, if any of these allegations are true, Vick should be put in jail. Football players cannot be treated more leniantly than regular people.

hell yes

"Mr. Ick" is a despicable person who enjoys torturing and killing innocent animals. His parents should be ashamed of what they created. While many people in the limelight do positive things for the world, Mr. Ick has only brought pain and suffering to the innocent. I despise him more than any others before and hope that he gets his due.

I think ultimately he will be suspended...Goodell is a no-nonsense commissioner...

I agree Micheal Vick should be suspended. This is a black eye for the league. No question. Then again, a suspension by the NFL and/or the Atlanta Falcons is the very least of his worries. He is facing the wrath of the US government and looking a room in Club Fed.

Roger Goodell can't put anyone in jail.

If the accusations are true than Mr. Vick is certainly on my "not invited to dinner" list.

From the sound of it, Mr. Vick has put his $100 million contract and his endorsement earnings in jeopardy so he can sadistically torture animals in a "sport" that is illegal in 47 states - to say nothing of the potential jail time. However, the Duke Lacrosse case showed us another example of why we need to refrain from calling someone guilty until the court has heard all of the evidence. Due to this, I worry that a suspension prior to a conviction would or could negatively influence a jury. So, I vote no for the suspension - reluctantly.

The difference between Tank/Pacman and Mr. Vick? They already were either on probation or facing multiple cases at the time of their suspension and thus should be considered in a different category altogether, regardless of the degree of their offenses.

Nope. He should be hung....

Micheal Vick should be suspended from the nfl until the results of the trial are in, then if found guilty suspended for life from the nfl

definitely

Yes. A major radio station here in Atlanta said that 81% of voters on their website said Vick should be suspended; 17% said maybe, and only 2% said not. He has lost support here in Atlanta. He is a twisted thug and the torture of helpless animals is not something that should go unpunished. They have many witnesses who put him at the scene of fights and killing (after torturing) losing dogs. Pacman Jones will surely have a gripe if the NFL and the Falcons don't punsih Vick.

Yes, he should be suspended for the season. Then if found guilty, kicked out of the NFL since he'll be in prison anyway.

the man in charge has a tough decision to make suspend him without looking at the evidence or don't and be second guessed i know i would hate to have to make this call.

Honestly, I dont think anyone should face punishment by the league before they face punishment from the law. I also dont think they should face punishment for things that happened before this new policy was put in place. So, I think all Godell's suspensions were B.S. With that said, like everyone else has said, he has to now.

no he should be whipped

I almost want to say yes based on it being the Feds. Problem is he doesn't have a history LIKE PAC-MAN JONES. He hasn't had TEN RUN-INS and FIVE ARRESTS in what 2,3 years. He had a history then YEAH but with nothing else ILLEGAL(so cut out the flipping off fans, and the designer water bottle thing was DROPPED with NO CHARGES) to his name the NFL can't make much of a case to suspend him without a conviction. Keep in mind the NFLPA would take Vick's side, even if they don't want to, because that is what a Union does. They would file a grievance and the NFL would have a hard fight to prove Vick should be suspended.

he does have a previous history of unsavory behavior. Aside from the water bottle incident for which he was cleared, there is the Ron Mexico incident in which he was sued for knowingly transmitting herpes to a woman, he has been fined by the NFL for obscene jestures to fans, he met with Roger Goodell when this story broke and lied to the commissioner, assuring him he had no involvement. i believe there is plenty of grounds for suspension.

No. Absolutely not.

Innocent until proven guilty!!! Many people have died protecting many of our common rights that we take for granted every day. The NFL would be nuts to be so disrespectfully unpatriotic and so milk-toast to suspend Vick without allowing him due process in this NON-FOOTBALL related incident.

No Roger Goodell is a bad commissionor

Yes, if the NFL wants to be consistent and if it wants to set a high standard for the conduct of its athletes.

yes

Yes and beat his head on the ground or but him in the ring let the dogs have a go at him.
