First of all - Holy cow, that's pretty incredible for someone going into the 9th grade! |

I am a girl..i would say yes!! I would love to tell you yes but it all depends on your abilities...... i was aked to play my freshman year on varsity because i had a big bench and a tough as balls attitude but when it came to hitting people my size and smaller i was in a whole diff ball game from middle school...... but very impressive stats man keep workin and a college will love your over grown as s... also you may be big but you need to get your body used to the physical pain that is high school football..... and you may be tough but when you have guys four and five years older than you there are bound to be some more tough than you.... and on the lettin colleges see you for four years they wont pay attention if you suck.... The important question is DO YOU WANT TO play football? Don't care what the coach says...what do you want do to? If you want to, tell them you want to play Tight End...best of both worlds..you get to hit people and catch passes. Good luck on whatever you decide. I jumped to varsity track early, because I could jump high, far, and run fast. go for it kid... get the experience if you want to play in college you need as much varsity experience as you can get. but if you dont get a starting spot play jv ya man if you are as good as you sound then yes you should. Pulse it would probably be a good way to get girls. i agree with bigripley76, he might not have a big hit but he is big, with a good attitude, i am 5'9" and 160 pounds, i bench 165 and squat 225 with a 5.1 40, yet i am one of the biggest hitters on the team, with giving one kid a concussion and one kid a broken wrist, but you also have to want to play. you wont go anywhere in varsity football if you dont want to. so i would look at yourself and ask yourself if you want to play, and if you will dedicate your self to football, i practiced with varsity freshman, played some sophomore and will start junior, so i only had 3 years to become the player a college will want, you have 4 years to impress them. go for it. If your going to take this step than have the parents involved as record keepers for your games. Meaning when you go in did you make the block/ did you miss, did you catch the ball/did you miss, did you make the tackle/ did you miss. etc..etc. Also have the tape you only during the game. When you get into your junior year get buddy buddy with a guy in the video department and him splice your footage to colleges. From freshman, sophmore, and junior. This will help colleges watch you grow and like your progress. Play brother. I would definately say yes and take the opportunity considering how competitive it is to get into varsity even at an older age. Especially if it's a chance to keep building up your skills for even a better opportunity, say college. You can get in with a full scholarship, then that'll be awesome. Keep up the good work but don't forget to have fun :D!!! and Always remember it's your choice :) If your coach wants you yes......................... If you have average hand eye cordination you could be an ok football player but he might want you to improve. Well, you can either slaughter the JV teams or you can move up and be average, your choice. yeah son u betta do that ish |
