| Are Titans fans the most fair-weather fans in the NFL? |
|
I think they are, because I have the misfortune of living in Nashville, now that the Houston Rejects aka the Tennessee Titans aka the Houston Oilers incognito have been here for a few years. All of their fans love them to death if they even see any sign that they might actually have a winning season, but at the slightest hint of a losing season you see nothing anywhere about the Titans. You'd think Nashville didn't even have an NFL team if they're not winning; to me their fans seem like a bunch of ignorant rednecks. I'm sure many of them played QB in high school for about twenty seconds and they think they could've been the next Johnny Unitas, so that solidifies them as experts when it comes to football (sarcasm). The female fans are really bad, they know absolutely nothing about football, but they try to pretend that they do; they don't know a field goal from a punt. They also kill when they talk about players like they know them personally. They called Steve McNair "Steve" and Eddie George "Eddie" like they ate supper with them the night before when I went to see a game while they were playing for them. Now they're calling Vince Young by his first name. It's not so much that they call the guys by their first name, it's the way they say it. They say their names in that backwoods, redneck way where it doesn't just have one or two syllables, it has three or four because they have such a draw. I'm a Steeler fan, I hate the Titans, and one of the main reasons is because of their idiotic fans. One of the others is because their colors are the gayest looking colors of any team in the league. I don't know how grown men play football in those uniforms and still take themselves seriously. |

I can think of one team that has the Titans beat in two categories that you mentioned. I believe that the Minnesota Vikings have the highest percentage of fair-weather fans in the league and also the sissiest jersey colors. |

i think its the arizona cardinals fans. now theyre showing up, but where were they before? cardinals games use to be half full of the opposing teams fans. now theyre showing up just because of a new stadium and because of leinart and edgerrin? i wonder if theyll keep showing up if the cards keep losing. The Phillie fans have got to be bigger fair-weather fans than the Titans'. During no other game will you hear such rapid turn-arounds from cheers to boos. What I think it is is that Tennessee Titans fans like myself aren't all that used to ESPN, Sports Illustrated, etc. leading off with stories about Vince Young and the Titans. |
