| Do the Patriots have a huge advantage by playing in such a weak division? |
|
The other 3 teams in the Patriots division only have a total of 6 wins between them. Does this fact keep the Pats from getting the injuries other teams get, and give the Pats an advantage? Should the teams be re-aligned to make it more of a level playing field? |

Yes, it does give them an advantage, but that's how football is, and that's what the playoffs are for. They might have a weak division but that doesn't mean they're not the best team in the league, which most anybody will agree to. |

Teams do not stay consistently good every year. Remember that there was a time when the Patriots were really bad. All that matters is how you play in the big games. This year it doesn't matter too much. They are good enough to win any division. As much as I hate the Pats, no it's not a huge advantage. If they were just an ok team in a weak division then they would get exposed when they play tougher competition like the colts Considering who else the Patriots have beaten this year I would say no. At least no more of an advantage than Seattle, Pittsburg or Dallas has. yes and no things dont stay the same every year and power shifts from division to divison over a span of time. I think it helps, and what about Seattles helpless conference? Seattle with their Walrus coach shoulld be undefeated too. That is why the NFL need to do a BCS system, quit the playoffs, and the Patriots, like the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors wouldn't have to worry about a chance to compete. |
