Having hard time with the stupid rules of the NFL I may start my own league call it real man football league!?

Tell me what rule would you change? What rule do you consider just stupid. Mine for example are
1. Sudden death overtime-just flip a coin,
2. Horse collar tackles
3. Pass interference
4. intentional grounding by spiking the ball into ground, between tackles.
5. Lineman down field during a screen
Honest answers please. I just think some of the rules in the NFL just make the game favor the sissies the game.

Yes I have played Strong Safety in college Horse collar tackle were legal when I played. In fact more people were hurt from being straight armed and no call facemask by running backs than my 30 horse collar tackles

The overtime rule isn't bad and horse collar tackles definitely need to be banned. Pass interference needs adjusted but not gotten rid of. Intentional grounding is stupid I hate that one. The NFL isn't really favoring the sissies just trying to keep players alive and the Real Man League is stupid lol

Real man League???

Dude- you need to root for USC

I love the 1234 rules 5 i would change its only on a screen pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only rule I agree with is the sudden death rule,it's not a fair rule for the offense of the team that loses the coin flip

the only one i would change is overtime. a college format would be fair and more exciting for the fans. the rest are necessary to protect the game from becoming rugby.

1. Doesn't make sense--play this like the college teams do.
2. Leave this alone. Football is temporary--paralysis is forever.
3. Doesn't make sense--play this like the college teams do as well.
4. This is a "who cares" thing.
5. This should also be changed.

Overtime rule. College has been at the forefront of most of the rules that the NFL eventually adopts. This is just another in a long line of rule changes that the NFL should adopt from the NCAA.

Dude that would be ok, but there would be too many injuries. I would consider no pass interferience stupid. They wouldnt be able to throw any passes.

1- change to college rules
2- keep
3- let them knock each other out
4- keep
5- change
I think roughing the passer/kicker are the stupidest rules they might as well put dresses on them

Players getting fined and/or suspended for vicious hits when no penalty was called during the game.

A few years ago, while playing the Oakland Raiders, San Diego's Rodney Harrison hit Jerry Rice in the end zone right when the ball got to him. Harrison lowered his shoulder and plowed into Rice's chest. The impact caused Rice's head to snap back and, from a couple of the camera angles, it looked like Harrison had hit Rice helmet-to-helmet. But, even Rice himself said after the game that it was a clean, legal hit.

But, the next day, the NFL fined Harrison and suspended him for one game for making a helmet-to-helmet hit on the receiver.

That basically ended Harrison's tenure in San Diego. When his contract was up that year, the Chargers didn't make him a new offer. And, for good reason. Harrison was a marked man, especially in San Diego. One more clean hit that even slightly looked illegal would have resulted in another suspension for Harrison, possibly for several games. The Chargers couldn't take that chance and opted to let him go. That's when New England picked him up.

Harrison wasn't a head-hunter. He was just a hard hitter who played a physical game. And, the San Diego defense suffered for years because the league thought he hit their golden boy Jerry Rice a bit too hard one time.

There all good as they are:

1- Sudden death is fine. Only 51% of the teams that win the toss win the game....no huge advantage. a 50-5- split is all you could ask for.

2- a dangerous tackle akin to facemasking, though isn't really called much even though you see several on each Sunday

3- What, should the DB be allowed to tackle the guy before he has a chance to catch it?? That is just silly. OR... are you against the spot foul part of it.? Shuld it just be a 15yd TD? Nope I like the spot foul, if a WR has a guy beat for TD, why should the defense get off the hook with just a 15yd penatly.

4- Intentional grounding is throwing the ball away in order to avoid a sack, killing the ball to stop the clock is not the same thing and as such is allowed.

5- Screens should be treated no different than any other pass. Lineman downfield gives an unfair advantage to the offense, and if they blocked anyone before the catch is made, that would constitute offensive pass interference.
I'm interested why you think OL should be allowed downfield?

I think the excessive celebration calls are stupid. You can only hit a quarterback a certain way in the NFL which is stupid. The NFL is turning into the NBA, and that is VERY VERY SAD!!!!
