A field goal (formerly "goal from the field") in American football and Canadian football (collectively called gridiron football) is a goal that may be scored during general play ("from the field"). |

That's a really really good question. Yes, it counts, because the ball clearly crossed the uprights, and do to nature was blown back, it would count. No, I dont think it has ever happened. If the football crossed the plane of the goalposts, regardless of whether it gets blown back or not, it still counts. I do not know if this has ever happened before 1)it has already gone through therefore it is 3 points Yes. Once the ball breaks the plane of the goalposts in the NFL or the goalline in NCAA and HS, the ball is dead and the kick is good if it passes through. The wind blowing it back means nothing. As for it happening in real life, I've seen it happen on the field of play, but haven't seen one be blown back out from between the uprights. |
