Here's my five in no particular order:
- Roy Green: former Cardinals great was the league's most dominant receiver for a brief period in the mid-80s.
- Wesley Walker: NY Jets blur in 70s and 80s. One-dimenensional and injury prone, but never lost his jets.
- Mark Duper: Miami Dolphins. With Marino's lasers, he was unstoppable for a short period.
- Joey Galloway: Like Duper, a top-accelerator, explosive type. He's 35, and he still might be the fastest guy in the league!!
- Bob Hayes: Cowboys. They called him Bullet.

technically speed doesn't kill, it is the change in speed that kills (i.e going from 90mph to 0 in less than a second by running into a tree)

i still say Tim Brown when he first came into the NFL, but slowed down dramatically his 3rd and 4th year. Jerry Rice was also very fast, but played most of his carrer in a West coast offense in which his speed was not used as much, but when it was used, you can see how suprised everyone was. but most people did not see his speed unless you were a niners fan that watched every 49ers game, because probably 1-2 times in a season he actually would put his burners on and go deep. problem was he dropped those passes at the beginning of his carrer so no one will point him out as one.

Roy Green was increably fast, so i agree with you there.
Wesley Walker i never really noticed because as you say, was injury prone, but i assume he was fast because of his small frame.
Mark Duper was Marino's deep man and was very fast.
Joey Galloway was great accelerator, but compared to other "speed" recivers he doesn't have as great of a top speed.
Bob Hayes hands down incredibly fast, i watched him alot, and i can belive how much times i see him 10 yards ahead of the nearest defender.

You forgot Willie Gault...world class Olympic sprinter who played with the Bears. Him and Bob Hayes are probably the 2 fastest receivers so far.

Willie Gault- he was an olympic sprinter, he's fast

Bob Hayes- he could fly back in the day

Jerome Mathis- you don't see him much at reciever on the texans, mostly returning kicks, but in the fastest man race at last years pro-bowl, he lost to deangelo hall by a hair.

Randy Moss- Randy Moss ran in the 4.2's at his combine visit.

Steve Smith- Steve Smith can fly, he can probably run in the 4.2's

You said fast, not good. for this reason I must throw the name Renaldo Nehemiah, of the Forty- Niners, into the mix.
