Dont know what your basis is for this question...I know many people that are fans of both. The main difference is one is a sport and one is entertainment but just because you are a fan of one does not mean that you cant be a fan of the other.

I don't think football fans hate wrestling. I think they are just getting annoyed with the little kids leaving stupid posts in this section. If you look on the wrestling answers page many of the people are getting annoyed with these few little kids too.

I'm a fan of both wrestling (pro) and Football (american) so I don't appreciate this kind of smack talk.

I don't think there is any hatred or dislike from football fans to wrestling fans. I am actually both myself. There is no overall dislike, but you have morons on both sides of the fence on this.

You have the wrestling fans that think that wrestling is "taking over". Nothing could be further from the truth. The wrestling community has found it's success out there, but will never challenge the NFL (Hence why the XFL died off so soon). There are also some that need to realize that even though the injuries can be, and are very real the plots are not. Wrestling is the only thing on television that is year round, and puts these men/women on the road as often as they are. I respect that a lot, and it's time that other wrestling fans do by not making asses of themselves on forums like these.

Then there are football fans that are just ignorant to the world of wrestling (You see how I didn't spell it rasslin or wrasslin). These football fans are stuck in the past before people like Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff took it out of the south, and gave it a whole new identity. Before them it was more of a country type sport, but then again so was NASCAR and we see rappers now with NASCAR jackets on. The industry of wrestling has gone through a lot of reform in America, and has grown beyond measure. It's time that the football fans that don't realize this come to the 21st century, and find out.
