| How would college football change if players needed the same academic requirements as everyone else? |

i go to the university of florida... and there are quite a few football players in my classes (including some very well known ones)... and if they had the same requirements as us regular students to get in, they wouldnt be here! |

There would be no college football, I'm afraid! :-O Just watch Ivy League games and you will find out. it would be played by a bunch of below average players.i know some players keep their GPA up,but regular students do not have to endure 3-4 hrs of practice, film watching ,and meetings 5 days a week after classes as do the student athletes If you are old enough. Try and remember what college football looked like before any affirmative action laws were passed. A guy on here mentioned that athletes have to balance football practice and schoolwork. That's tough. I have a hard time keeping myself organized as it is. We'd revert back to the late 1800's and watch 130# players from Harvard and Yale put up final final scores of 6-3 after 3 hours. The SEC would have to disband. Obviously, the quality of the game would suffer. However, it would still be fun to watch. |
