I don't know a thing about football, I'm 15, never really played football, I'm out of shape and would like to get into shape by the time I'm in college and join football then and I have no idea why I want to join. Oh yeah I'm a pretty big guy. I'm serious about this and would like some help, advice, and a workout for conditioning. I would also like to know common stuff that all football players know or do. Like I said I don't know why I want to but I have a strong passion to play football and one more thing I have a YMCA memebership if that will help and almsot 6 ft. tall. Please help! Jesus Loves and Adores and God Bless. I'm a CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!!!! |

hey truefire, well you've got the right start...you just want to play. |

Well you might want to join because you see your friends watching and playing and you might feel left out of the eqaution.Dont play football and not know why.I'm a 14 year old girl and I love the game!I cant get enough of it,But I like it because My family likes it also and I got it from them. You need to sit down and think why you want to play the sport and know nothing about it.Hey maybe if you play or watch it you'll like it.I hope I gave you some good advice and God bless, remember to put our saviour first.I'm Christian to. Hey kid first you got to know what you really want to do. What position you want to play? Second Watch what you eat. No more sweets and junk food. Third never give up no matter what people tell you. Always think thatyou can do it even though it's going to be rough. Try to run a few miles daily and get a good work out plan. Depending where you live I have a cousin in Arizona that started up a little football training camp for youth football leage. You can reach your goals if you don't let people get you down. you need to start playing now if your school has a team. they will help you alot Hey, you wanna play football, right? I'm David Pittman, an NFL cornerback for the Ravens, #24, i'm a rookie! it takes a lot of simple things to master. first and most important, you have to play with so much heart and intensity, that you could run through a brick wall. second, you gotta be strong and fast, hit the wieghts, do agility drills. Third is to know and love the game.....watch a lot of football, you'll know players and rules. Good Luck man! Get outside now and just start jogging. Hit the weight room, stop eating crap so you can give your body a chance at gaining some muscle. You're 15 and never played but want to play college football? I'd say get playing now if you even want a ghost of a chance of playing college ball. Even at 15 you're way behind the game. I started when I was 7, was all state in high school, got a full ride to college on a scholarship, played 2 years of college ball before injuries forced me out. Starting at 15, even if you're a very good athlete, you've got a huge uphill battle. Not impossible but will take huge amounts of work on your part. You have to look into your heart and find the reason you want to play. Its a lot of hard work. I played college football and it takes a lot of time and comitment but if you love the game its great. granted Im paying for it now due to bad knees from football injuries. the sport will take a lot out of you and cause a lot of long term damage so you need to decide if it is rally for you. Try to join your school team now. They will get you in shape and if you are a big guy they'll be glad to have you. Its a lot of work though its not going to be easy. Good luck to you and God bless. Workout at the ymca. first of all, if thats what u want to do, go for it |
