Has there ever been a NFL football player that didn't play college football?

Well, some people don't know what they're talking about. Warren Moon played at the University of Washington. Dante Hall played at Texas A&M. Antonio Gates is the only current NFL player I can think of that didn't play in college.

Eric Swann never played college ball, he played semi-pro before being drafted at #6 in the first round in 1991 by the Cardinals. Report It

Denvers ol running back M. Anderson never played college ball of any kind... He was enlisted in the Marines. Just goes to show you can't beat natural talent. Report It

mike d, you're wrong. Mike Anderson played two years at the University of Utah.

In the 1980s, Renaldo Nehemiah was an world-class hurdler who played for the 49ers without playing college football. And, my personal favorite, a Washington Redskins player in the 1970s named Herb Mul-Key. Report It

preston pearson, THE FORMER STEELER & COWBOY RUNNINGBACK did not plaY COLLEGE FOOTBALL HE PLAYED COLLEGE BASKETBALL.. Report It

yes

Antonio Gates played college basketball, but signed with the San Diego Chargers

I'm pretty sure Renaldo Nehemiah (world record holder in the 100 meter hurdles?) never played college football...I wonder whether Bullet Bob Hayes ever played college football.

Sure, plenty. As someone mentioned above, Antonio Gates is probably the most known player who didn't play college football (TE, Chargers).

Also a movie made recently, "Invincible" was about a 30 year old bartender who made the Eagles without playing in college.

yes - there have been a few Europeans who werent educated in the US and didnt play American Football until they were adult

michael lewis...he was the kick returner for the New Orleans Saints....he played High School Footbal but then became a beer delivery man....did that for a while before he decided to go try out.....

Antonio Gates is From U of M B-Ball, he didn't start in any college football, i'm sure there's more.

Wide Receiver Dante Hall didn't attend college football.

Yup, Antonio Gates is the most well known one. Another one, I can't think of his name off the top of my head right now, but the movie 'Invincible' is about his story in the NFL.

Brock Lesner, a former amateur and pro wrestler, played 1 preseason with the Vikings.

Yes a Whole lot of them, Go Saints !!!!!!!!!!!

Christian Okoye

Okoye played college ball at the NAIA Level. Gates is the big Current one but the highest player ever drafted not to play college ball was Eric Swann who was the 6th overall pick in the 1991 NFL Draft to the Cardinals. He spent 12 seasons in the NFL Bob Hayes did play some football at Florida A&M

I am a general manager of a minor league football team and we have an ex NFLer that was a chearleader in HS and College that was playing coverage for his buddy a WR before the world league tryouts now NFL europe in there first year and the coach saw him and told him to try out he made it and after a couple years played for the Cardinals.
