The rest don't concern me As Yahoo! Answers contributors, can we all chip in to buy Austin a CLUE, a LIFE, and bus fare for him to get to REHAB please?
Anyway, here are my picks
Buffalo over Miami - The most surprising 4-4 team in the NFL. Even more surprising than my New Orleans Saints. The Kevin Everett injury, the other 9 million injuries on a defense that wasnt great to begin with, and the game of musical chairs they call their starting quarterback. They still have managed to win four games and easily could have won 6 had they not given the game away at Dallas and let Denver eek out a win. The Miami Dolphins couldn't beat the University of Miami right now.
Cleveland over Pittsburg - I'm picking this upset - the Steelers have a short week and we don't know how healthy Big Ben will be. If Derek Anderson continues his elite play, will he be Comeback Player of the Year? After all, he had to come back from being the #3 QB and being buried under all the overhype and mancrushes everyone had on Brady Quinn
Kansas City over Denver - Even without Larry Johnson, they win. Denver can't beat anyone right now. No WR's, no reliable QB, no running game, no D-Lineman, no win.
Tennessee over Jacksonville - Hard to pick against the Titans when they win games even after turning the ball over 4 or 5 times, giving up humungous leads, and having their franchise quarterback throwing for like 6 yards.
Green Bay over Minnesota - The Pack is Back. Their defense is very underrated, and if they get off to a fast start, then they win. Unless Adrian Peterson lines up at quarterback, and he may be the best quarterback on the roster (even though he's a halfback)
Washington over Philadelphia - I see Kevin Kolb in our immediate future, and yet another mess in the City of Brotherly Love. But Kevin Curtis is quietly having one of the better seasons for a free agent wide receiver not named Moss, Welker, or Stallworth.
New Orleans over St. Louis - In years past, this would have been a trap game for the Saints. Not with Payton at the helm. The Rams have shown the whole world the importance of a left tackle. New Orleans rolls and finishes the day tied for first place in the NFC South because....
Atlanta over Carolina - Call me crazy, but I just dont think that 78 year old Vinny Testaverde can pull it off again, and thats even if he plays. Think Carolina would take a run at Aaron Brooks, who is sitting at home right now? That other fella they got from the Saints worked out okay, ol' whats his name. Speaking of QB's Joey Harrington is auditioning for his 2008 team, caus he won't be a Falcon next year. Atlanta squeezes out a much needed victory
Cincinnati over Baltimore - Remember when both of these teams were good? Me either. The Bengals win because Baltimore can't stop anyone anymore. The Bengals can't either, but the Ravens can't win a shootout game, especially when they don't have any bullets.
Oakland over Chicago - After Sunday's game, Brian Griese tried to throw his equipment into his locker. Unfortunately, he was intercepted. Bears fans never fully appreciated Thomas Jones, and neither did their front office when they drafted Cedric Benson #4. Did they just forget about the last two first round running backs they drafted (Curtis Enis, Rashaan Salaam). What makes this Chicago team horrible is the fact that the defense can no longer bail them out, as they've had injury issues and continuity issues all season. They are who we thought they were Dennis, they are.
NY Giants over Dallas - Unfortunately, 70 million people WONT be able to see this game. This is not the same Giants defense that got torched in the beginning of the year. These guys are for real, and their amazing pass rush has covered up the fact that their secondary is still very average. But let's be realistic - the Cowboys secondary isn't exactly setting th world on fire either. The Giants get a close win that puts them in the driver's seat in the NFC East.
Detroit over Arizona - Can we finally admit that the Lions are for real now? Can we finally admit that the Cardinals are STILL THE CARDINALS? For the first time in a long time, we'll actually look forward to the Thanksgiving Day football game that features the Detroit Lions. They'll be up against the Packers, probably for the NFC North Title.
Indianapolis over San Diego - It has become painfully clear that if Phillip Rivers is put into a position where he has to win a game - he can't. The Colts will be out to prove that they're still the champs until otherwise stated. People forget they're the reigning Super Bowl Champions. This game will remind them.
Seattle over San Francisco - The Seahawks win the Disappointment Bowl. This may be asking too much, but do you think there's a chance that Frank Gore and Shawn Alexander will actually show up this week? And would it also be asking too much for the 49ers to borrow Desean Jackson from Cal for this weeks game? Mia
