Ok, you're in the 4th quarter of the game with no timeouts remaining, and a tie score. Your team fumbles the ball on your own 5 yard line and the other team recovers. Should you, A: Lay down on the first play and let them score, knowing then that your team will get one more opportunity. Or B: Make your best goaline stand, try to hold to a field goal, and do your best to block it. |

I say let them score. The other team isn't going to risk a fumble, so they're going to take a knee, let the clock run down to 3 seconds, then kick a field goal. |

You go down fighting without a doubt! You can't just let them waltz into your endzone for a free 6 points + PAT. You play defense, try to force a fumble, kick, claw, and scratch to keep them from scoring. Eye of the tiger baby! You should let them score, even if you are ahead by a point. But I have seen so many games where the defense stoped the team on the five yard line and then the let the clock expire and kick a FG that is 95% likely to go in. Better to take the 33% chance you will score if you let them score. I love offense you let them score! :) in the nfl you let them score, a good college kicker let them score, a bad college kicker make them earn it. Oops I didn't read the question the right way. With no timeouts there's nothing you could really do. They would kneel on first and second down, and spike the ball on 3rd with a few seconds left to kick the field goal. BLOCK THAT KICK!!! u fight like hell becuase vanderjagt might be the kicker he might also be kris brown or they suck bad and the scores 0 - 0. With one minute left and you not having any time outs, your opponent can run the clock all the way down to one second and kick a field goal. You're pretty much screwed. Your only chance is to try to block it. |
