Seriously folks. It amazes me to read all the posts made by soccer fans that diss the MLS. No one ever takes the time to consider that sports such as American Football, Baseball, and Basketball have been around for decades while the MLS has only been here for about 10 years. Do you people truly believe that the premiership was as good as it is today during its beginings?


Let's not forget that MLS has begun to see financial success and can only grow from here on in. With the development of soccer-specific stadiums across the league and the requirement of these stadiums for new teams the league is truly taking ownership of itself.


That's great if your a fan of European Football. Instead of lashing out and dissing American Soccer you should be happy that the sport you love is becoming more and more popular in a country that no one seems to think will accept it.

no we don't hate MLS.

i personally DETEST the attitude of those who are ignorant of football (soccer, american speak) and forthrightly think that sports revolve around the four major leagues in the US.

Hey, I think it's great that the MLS is succeeding... as do many people in Europe!!

I think this time around it's sustainable given the number of youth programmes in the US. I believe it's the most played sport among under-15 year olds, but I may be wrong...

Soccer sucks!

I agree. While the level of play isn't as good as the EPL or Serie A, it is getting better...The MLS needs the support of US soccer fans, not constant bitching and criticism. I bought the MLS Direct TV package, as well as a 9-game ticket pack for my local team...I have even made some of my family and friends soccer converts...or at least open to the idea of soccer in America...MLS has a ways to go to compete salary wise and on the field, but the foundation has been laid...they need our support now.

Actually this category is meant to be about NFL style American Football. Most of us don't care about MLS and don't say a word against it. We complain about the soccer people in general because they come to whine about how we don't like their sport. I'm all for MLS doing good. The people who like soccer deserve a good league in America.
