ok we all know yankees are the coolest baseball team in NYC, but between the Jets and the Giants, who is the favorite ? ive just recently learned they played in the same stadium, when they play each other who has the bigger crowd ? jets or Giants ? who do new yorkers like best and why ?

In my opinion, The New York Giants have a better team. So far this year they are 4-2, but not just talking about this year, every year they do very well and end up with a decent record. The Jets on the other hand, are not persistent. They have a great record which doesn't get them into the playoffs though one year, but next year their winning record is much much below .500. So in my opinion, the New York Giants are a much better team. But quarterback wise, Eli Manning has been ticking me off for the past 3 years. He can't throw a completion and he's the reason the Giants aren't 6-0. Chad Pennington is a better QB.

ny needs to isolate itself media wise and let the rest of the country focus on the teams they want to watch... not what the NYC media force down our throats. i could give a rats a&& about eli or what is happening with the jets (who the heck thought it was a great idea to make jets fans the media darlings of the nfl draft.... retarded nyc media coverage -- redundant, yes).

if mr. hanky were in a ny giant uniform, they'd cheer him (and force coverage of mr. hanky on everyone else in the country)...

As an NFL licensee, we sell a lot more Giants product than Jets. I know the Giants are Jersey's team and I think the rest of NYC is split between either or, but I think more like the Giants because they have been around longer.

Giants have more of a following in NYC. The Jets have more fans out on Long Island because they used to play out there.

The Giants are a winning squad and one of the founding clubs of the league as well, so they have been around much longer.

well who has the bigger crowd depends on who is designated as the home team for that game.the last game was a giant home game,so the season tickets holders were giant fans.

i would think that there are more giants fans due to the fact that their franchise is older and has more generations of fans.and team loyalty is passed down from generation to generation.
