Watching the NFL Hall of Fame the other day brought one thought to my mind??

Seeing the replays of Irvin laying there on the ground at Veteran Stadium and just remember all the Eagles fans cheering that he wasn't getting up made me wonder why in the world does Philly fans have so little respect b/c I can imagine if another team did that to McNabb who seems to get hurt everytime you turn around now or if it happened to Dawkins Eagles fans would be complaining about how wrong it was

Yeah but that's not as bad as when Cleveland fans started cheering when their own QB got hurt. Tim Couch got absolutely murdered for that team for 5 years behind a non-existant O-line. Pretty much every game they won from 1999-2002 was purely from his force of will pulling games out of the fire. Then he gets hurt and his own fans start cheering. Then when he gets upset and cries at the press conference, the fans start calling him a baby. So yes, what the Philly fans did was a cheap shot, but it could have been alot worse.

And I also can remember Dallas fans cheering when Wade Wilson got hurt a few years back.

Yeah but its what makes people like u and me fans. I never like to see somebody get hurt(badly at least) but if their best offensive or defesive weapon is out of the game it makes you feel like you have a better chance. I honesty hope every player on your team stays healthy this year (except T.O.) and hope we have a battle for the NFC East right up until 0:01 of the Week 17 games

i cheer every time mcnabb gets hurt....lucky for me that's every year lol

It has become tradition for Philly fans to exhibit every sign of having no class.

Boo your own team early, throw snowballs at Santa, Cheer when a Cowboy is hurt, build your own jail in house to let the really bad ones sober up before going home.

What a joke. I like the Eagles program, just don't care for the fans.

I know this is a football board, but would like to give props to San Diego for cheering way more than booing when Bonds homered. That is class...when even the Baseball Commish had no clue what to do, so he stood there looking like his Alzheimer's flared up.

I think they cheered because they didn't think it was as severe as it was. The fans at the Vet were a different breed, In the 800 level they didn't even watch the game when the Eagles sucked. They would just drink, fight and watch the other fights.

Part of the reason the hated Irvin was because he was allowed to push off on almost every play. That is still not a reason to cheer an injury...but they did.

Eagles fans have no class, remember they even booed Mcnabb on draft day. Of course unlike the fans of America's Team the beloved Dallas Cowboys they also have no Superbowl's victories to take pride in either.

Eagles fans are sick and obsessed. The sports radio hosts in the city kiss McNabb's and Andy Reid's asses on a constant, daily basis. The fans live in this fantasy world where the Eagles actually win the Super Bowl. I predict the Cubs will win the World Series before the Eagles can ever win the big one.
