Point spread has New England favored by 17 points over Washington. The game is in New England.?

Do you think they will cover?

Couple facts:
1. Washington is the only team in the NFL that Tom Brady does not have a win against. He is 0-1 against them.
2. Washington has the longest winning streak against New England at 6 games dating back to the 1970's.
3. The last time the Patriots lost to Washington they began their unnoficial record winning streak.
4. Tom Brady is 24-4 against NFC teams.
5. Only 1 NFC team has ever won a game at Gillette Stadium(Green bay packers in 2002).
6. This is the Redskins first time to Gillette Stadium, teams making their first trip to Gillette have a record of 4 wins and 24 losses.

Vegan what is calm soup? I've lived in New England all my life and I have never heard of such a thing.

New England will cover, unless they get caught up in all the talk about them running up the scores, which I doubt will happen. They are a far better team all around then Washington.

Sorry Coach Gibbs.

New England will not. they eat calm soup which is not vegan.

NO------I'll go with Washingtons defense .

yes, pats 35
skins 10

I dont know if you watched the Arizona vs Redskins game which wa splayed in Washington. But the skins did not look good. They won, but struggled against a miserable arizona team with a 3rd string QB. Now they get to face a QB who is on a hotter steak then anyone has ever been on.

Lets put it this way, Dallas is considerabllybetter then Washington in my opnion, so If the Pays go into that game with the same focus they had against the Cowboys they are going to win by 20 to 30 points.

BUT i dont think they will. Brady is due for an off day, and they wont take this game as seriously as the Cowboy game. And unlike the dolphins, the skins will occasionally be able to stop them. 34-21 Patriots.

New England will probably win the game, but I don't think that they'll beat Washington as badly as they've beaten all of the other teams that they've played this season. I think it will be a Patriot's win by a margin 6 to 14 points.

Patriots win but do not cover. NE - 31, WAS - 17

I wouldn't pay attention to old stats. The only stat that matters is that Tom Brady will continue to throw TD passes well beyond the point spread being covered, so I would pick NE to cover the spread.

Your comparing apples and oranges, The 49'ers were great in the 80's too. Who cares!!! Unless you have actually seen the Patriots play a few games this year, you cannot appreciate what they do. The only way Washington beats New England at all, is if it's the Revolution coming to play, because the Patriots are absolutely unbelievable.

New England will cover, or tie the 17 point spread. They have covered each week. Their offense is just now getting in high gear.

Its painfull to say ask a Skins fan, but they're going to get WORKED by New England.

That last victory before the Pats record winning streak was the highligh of Steve Spurrier's career in DC (Unless you count pitchin' and catchin' in Osaka v SF in 1st preseason game he coached)

I was at the game v Arizona on Sunday and honestly, they should have lost the game. The Skins seem to give up in the 2nd half... well at least their offense does.

Skins defense is playing well this year, but with the offense playing as badly as is does, they don't get any rest and the doors fall off. The Skins will keep it close until 3rd quarter, but then there will be one play that deflates them and New England is too good not to capatalize.

Take the pats with the points, and it will look dicey at the half, but Pats will post 10-17 points in 4th q to take any doubt away.

Love the Skins, but I'm also a realist...

i keep saying the pats will take a week off and not cover and im always wrong. but 17? no! skins secondary should slow the pats down some, but if washington turns it over, it's on big time for the pats. but gimme the skins and the points....(when will i learn?)

calm soup is a relaxed, non-excited soup. now, what's a vegan?

while im 95% sure new england wins easily, the 5% is any given sunday rule, im hopeing sean taylor catches moss not looking couple times. and there is a chance with skins running game they could prevent high scoreing game, be prepared to see a lot of portis and betts in this one, gibbs will try and keep his d off the field as much as possible

I think the Pats will have a 42-17 lead into the 4th quarter then give up a late garbage touchdown to make it 42-24, so yes they'll cover.

Washington Redskins vs New England Patriots
New England has not won by less than 17 points this season and has won by more than 20 points in 6 of 7 games. The Patriots are a perfect 7-0 straight up and ATS this season taking every challenge head on and passing with flying colors. There鈥檚 no stopping Moss and Brady right now. [Read More]
