The 49ers are so willing to build this stadium in Santa Clara, they will even take the cost of running the stadium. Why dont they show that dedication to the city of San Francisco? If the 49ers dont play in San Francisco, rename 'em! |

They shouldn't. The Niners have been called the San Francisco 49ers for a loooong time. They shouldn't change it. Plus, San Fran sounds better than Santa Clara They can't play in San Francisco. They have been trying for a while to work something out with city official, and they couldn't, so they will build it in Santa Clara, and no they shouldn't change their name, they have been the San Francisco 49ers for like 50 years. umm... the jets AND giants play in new jersey and the Angels play in Anaheim. Not every team play where their city says they do. They should have always been the San Jose 49ers. That is where the fans come from. It is a well known fact that to get to 49er games from San Jose, it is best to go north, past the stadium and come back from the direction of Frisco because all the cars are from San Jose. No way....but it won't surprise me being that its California....just look at the ridiculous name of this baseball team: if they're the santa clara 49ers, then how about the new jersey giants, new jersey jets, irving cowboys, pontiac lions, orchard park bills, foxboro patriots and alexandria redskins? San Francisco has some of the dumbest city leadership you are every likely to see. They are forcing the 49ers out of the city. They tried to stay, and they just can't. Rick W, the Redskins play at FedEx Field in Landover, MD, not Alexandria, VA. Their training camp is in Ashburn, which is a bit further south. here we call them san fran 69er's lol |
