Most BEAUTIFUL college football STADIUM?

It doesn't have to be the biggest, or loudest....but what is your favorite college football stadium and why?

I like War Memorial Stadium at The University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. It has a beautiful view of the Laramie Mountain Range to the east, and the front range of the Rockies to the west. The south end zone is flanked by large fir & spruce trees. Former BYU & NFL Hall of Fame QB Steve Young once said that War Memorial Stadium in Laramie is "the toughest stadium I've ever played in."

*It is worth noting that at an elevation of 7,220 feet, War Memorial Stadium is the highest Division I football stadium in America.

The Horseshoe at THE Ohio State University.
Before rennovation, it had dorms inside and they were the only college dorms suspended in mid-air. They were literally attached to the stadium by their ceilings....quite cool.
They made a wise decision to keep the integrity of the design...while they added more seats and made the south stand permanent, it is not fully enclosed and is still a "horsehoe".

Yep. Ohio Stadium is totally awesome. I've been to many a game and it keeps getting better and better.
I know very few people who don't get the chills when the "I" is dotted. It's SO steeped in tradition, the atmosphere is electrifying!

Stanford Stadium.

They just re-did it and it's amazing !!

They have new seats, new screens, new bathrooms!!, it's just beautiful.

Wouldn't pay that much to go to school there, but I do enjoy going there for football games now. It looked terrible 5 years ago ...

University of Tennessee's stadium is awesome, its just huge and the back ground also has beautiful mountains and a view of the big brown ball from the world's fair... plus the fan base! Most other teams hate playing us at home because all they will hear is "Good ole Rocky Top"!!!

Penn State Beaver Stadium with Mount Nitney in Back ground

Milan Puskar Stadium The Home Of The Mountaineers. This stadium is beautiful with all the state of the art features. It is always very clean and very well maintained. The field is awesome looking and it host some great facilities and concessions. All the seats are great, a real nice Football Stadium.

I am a Coug so it is hard for me to say this...But honestly University of Washington's Husky Stadium is AMAZING.

A beautiful, sweet looking stadium that has some amazing views...Worth checking out for sure.

Beaver Stadium at Penn state before they filled in the other end zone when you had a perfect view of the Nittany Mountains.

This a easy question. Robinson Stadium, Grambling Louisiana.

BIll Snyder Family Stadium, home of the Kansas State Wildcats. It is in a very pretty part of Kansas, just north of the flint hills. There is a river valley to the South and rolling hills all around. The weather there in the fall is usually 70's during daylight, 50's in the evening. Perfect! Late season games can be chilly, but there isn't a K Stater in the place without a warm friendly attitude. The fans are classy, the kids are welcome and the ballgame is always exciting! It is a very family friendly place with easy access and reasonable fees.

Utah Utes.

The Big House

Michie Stadium at West Point is in a very beautiful setting ... overlooking the Hudson River, although the stadium itself is kind of non-descript.

I had the fortune of driving cross-country from New York to California a few years back and have to agree that Wyoming and BYU have great settings.

In terms of the most beautiful stadium, I have to say it's Ohio Stadium in Columbus, OH. Among the large stadiums (Beaver, Michigan, Neyland), Ohio Stadium is the most historic and architecturally significant.

Ole Miss (as much as I hate them) has a nice looking stadium.

A. W. Mumford at Southern University is pretty nice as well. I was impressed with it.

I like Ole' Miss and the Grove. Very beautiful and the best tailgating and college tradition when the team does the walk through.

Rice Eccles Stadium home of the University of Utah Utes. It also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 winter Olympics. The Wasatch mountains almost steal the show from the football games!

Good luck!

St Mary's College of Moraga, CA, even though they currently have no football program.
The college and stadium are surrounded by pretty natural scenery, the oak covered hills around campus and the undeveloped Oakland-Berkeley hills in the distance. Plus, there are live oak forests behind the end zones. The stadium is small, holds maybe 2500.
Wyoming's stadium sounds real nice.

I say Penn State's Beaver Stadium. The views of MT. Nittany are great, and they take such pride in the stadium's landscaping. I get chills just driving by it. It's even better when it's in a whiteout! So Cool! I like it way better than Michigan's(big house.)

Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, AR

the SWAMP

TIGER STADIUM - Baton Rouge, LA

GEAUX TIGERS!

DKR stadium at UT has the largest hd tv screen in the country. Watching the longhorns dominate on the "godzillatron" is awesome. (134-feet wide and 55-feet high)

L.A Colosseum

Fight ON!!!

Root for USC
