the only thing that can help you is getting heavier in muscle and losing some fat and get quicker..also you need experience if you wanna start next year. when people here ask for workouts for the position you cant really do them like real practices because you dont have pads and dummies, but workouts that can keep u in shape are just common sense, running lifting. if you are into football u should know. I recommend asking the coach if you can practice with them even though you wont be able to play, that will get u ready for next year, oh and some schools require u to play jv first then move up to varsity. depends what grade ur in. peace.
There is no such workout for each position just stay in shape. If what you mean is drills they help you in each position but they arent workouts they will help you on the field and get proper form.
Cause practices in most schools are usually like this. JV goes defense first and varsity goes offense. We do drills then switch up then do mini scrimmages against each other, thats all we do u gota actually know the feeling of playing to kno if ur good ornot. just stay in shape bro.
i joined football my sophomore year and i was out of shape but then now im starting as a LB varsity so ya just work hard at practice , when u go get water hussle dont walk, and if coach wants someone in just go up to him and ask him if u wanan go in
Basically lift through out the year get that weight up . and run the 40 yard each day repetition makes perfect. 40 time it aint all about speed its about ur reaction to the whistle so practice that too. make sure ur in shape because if ur not u might get hurt
