Generally, I would concentrate on exercising for upper body strength (arms and shoulders particularly) and leg work for stamina and strength in the thighs. -

You need to train your legs. Do gruesome leg workouts. This means lots of lifting but also do agility drills. This will train your legs to be strong and explosive. You cannot be a good football player without being strong, especially in the legs.< -
