In the future, I want to play professional football. I will be trying out next year.?

I am currently 14 years old and in grade 9. The school I currently attend does not have football (well, it does have flag football and its pretty boring),

but next year I will be going to a different school that has football.

I am 5'9, and weigh 130 lbs, i'm a very fast runner, I am in really good shape and i am planning to put on another 20-30 pounds so i can weigh in the 150-160 range.

What position should i try out for? i'm kind of leading toward quarterback because everybody i played flag football with said i have a quick, accurate throwing arm.

And Also, what is the chance that i will become a professional football player, whether it be NFL, or CFL(canadian football league) or even the AFL (arena football league)?

The odds aren't good, but don't let is dissuade you. If you have some talent, and you want it badly enough, go for it.

QB is one of the toughest positions to make it in. You sound like a WR to me anyway. Maybe a receiving TE if you fill out.

Forget TE your to small right now, seriously if your as fast as you say go out for Cornerback or Free safety. Coaches like tall QBs so they migth be bias towards you, besides only 1 qb gets to play so you have less chance. Free Safety, trust me.

The odds of a HS senior football player making it to the NFL are 1000 to 1. So all you have to do is be better than 99.9% of all of the other football players in the country to make it there. So far as the CFL or AFL, the odds improve slightly. In the end, make sure you have an education to fall back on.

As far as position, it doesn't much matter as your coaches will decide.

Just because you're asking who thinks you will make it tells me you won't. Now do you want to change those results? Good, then stop asking ANYONE and just know that you will. Noone whose every made it really big has doubted themselves. Now tight end isn't out of the question. You're 14 and you're allready 5'9". You've still got 3 to 4 years to grow if you eat right and exercise. I agree that only 1 quarterback makes it, but you can be better than the other 99. Just know that you can. Also diversify. You can play several positions between now and senior year and you'll know when you find the right spot. Then when you get really good play for Ohio State. Good luck GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!
