I LIKE AFL MORE BECAUSE ITS MORE HGH FLYING IN EXTREME.

Most people would say the NFL for 3 reasons: 1. Because its teams draft the best players out of college, 2. Because its more popular and people wanna be with the "in crowd" (just like in high school) and 3. Because its been around a lot longer and some people are afraid of change. Personally I prefer the AFL because its more fast pace and more modern, I like to think of it as "21st century football". The field isn't as long or as wide which, in my opinion makes it tougher to play and it is also the reason why each team only has 8 players on the field instead of 11. The goalposts are only half as wide which makes it a lot tougher to kick a field goal and if the kicker misses and the ball bounces off 1 of the nets on either side of the goalposts then the ball is considered live and any player on the offense can recover it in the end zone for a touchdown or any player on the defense can pick it up and run with it. Since the field is only 50 yards long there is no punting allowed, on 4th down they have to go for a field goal or a touchdown. I'm sorry if my answer went on too long, but there are so many things that I love about arena football.

I like NFL because it includes DEFENSE.

I like the NFL, but I'm not going to be like some of the assholes here telling you that the AFL sucks. People like different things and you are entitled to your opinion.

I am sorry, I love the AFL. I watch every game on TV. I even buy AFL shirts and hats. But I like the NFL better. I am a guy who loves defense. In the NFL the games are lower scorer than the AFL. Also there is more talent in the NFL. But there is still a lot of talent in AFL. The AFL is more exciting than the NFL. But Pittsburgh does not have a team in the AFL while they have one in the NFL. Even Though I support the AFL I will always like the NFL more.

Well the AFL has been gone for quite awhile and merged with the NFL forming the AFC conference and the NFC conference. But I am an AFC fan now and liked the AFL then. The AFL utilized the long passing game creating higher scoring fun to watch game while the NFL was known more for smash mouth in your face football. I liked classic shootouts between Lamonica and Namath which was what the AFL was all about. But if you liked lower scoring defensive games then you would go with the NFL. Since the merger both conferences have teams that utilize both methods and have both dominated the league through the superbowl era thus creating their goal of one league. Unless of course you are referring to the arena football league in which I would have to say the NFL because it is a far superior league on a longer field which makes the game more challenging.

Both are fun and exciting but the NFL has more teams just more organized and of course, the superbowl.

I like NFL because the players are alot more talented and their is alot of action. In AFL it is 50 yards and no sidelines, kind of stupid. Also they score like 60 points a game which i find silly because it is just pointless watching 2 teams score 1 after another on LONG LONG drives. Their is never any interceptions or big plays in the AFL.

I love the AFL (Go Sabercats) but the NFL is better and it looks to me in recent years players are using AFL to start or resurrect an NFL career smilier to baseballs minor league clubs

I love the NFL. I'm not gonna sit here and bash the AFL. I enjoy watching both. I'm a season ticket holder for the New Orleans VooDoo of the AFL and will get tix next season as well.

afl sucks dude. do i need an explanation? by the way i havent seen a good hit in the afl.so im not understanding why you think its intense. all it is, is a crappy quarterback that couldnt make it in college throwing up a small football that anyone can launch a whole afl field and a reciever catches it then gets pushed not hit into a foam wall. The dude who says that the AFL is long gone? You're thinking about the American Football League, now known as the AFC. The AFL being referred here is the ARENA Football League.

You really can't compare the two because it's two different styles of football. I like the NFL, but I think the AFL is interesting at times.

Even more interesting to me is who the team owners are: Elway (Colorado), Ditka (Chicago), Deion Sanders (Austin), Neil Smith (KC), Jon Bon Jovi (Philly), and so on.
