It's kinda looking like the AFL West isn't going to have a very good year.The Raiders will live in the cellar,as usual,KC is "rebuilding"(getting Herminated,if you ask me),the Broncos are looking a little bipolar,and the Chargers are....hell I don't know what the hell's up in San Diego.

How do other AFC West fans feel about the season?

I know it's really early,but this season is off to a rocky start for the division,and I was curious to hear how fans of the the four teams were looking at what's ahead.

Denver is not as good as most people think. Two cheap wins on last second FGs against lousy teams and then a loss at home to the mediocre Jags? Get real. Cutler is grossly overrated. Denver has a decent secondary and absolutely nothing else. Only blind homer diehard Broncos fans would think otherwise.
DEN 8-8

KC is getting Herminated for sure. I never wanted him here. Herm will destroy LJ just as Schottenheimer did with Okoye. Huards horrible rag arm will be killing this team all season long. Bowe is the only weapon we have thats performing, and hes only a rookie.
KC 6-10

Raiders have been terrible for decades. The last decent team they had started off 8-2 but then finished on a six game skid, and that was years ago.
OAK 5-11, maybe even 4-12

yeah i agree, the AFC West is probably the worst division in the NFL this season. i'm still pulling for my chargers though who i think is gonna take the division. only cuss the other teams really suck and they're the only ones who have talent and potential. it is a little too early to tell, but so far this division sux. hopefully the chargers will wake up and they probably will next week against KC.

The chargers have a very tough schedule this season but we are really talented and will turn it around. I'm not worried about any of the other teams in the division including denver since their 2 first games were won against weak teams with a last second field goal.

The winner of that division is going to be the one that won't trip on their own feet,I feel sorry to say

The Chargers are much better than they've been playing. They opened against the 2 toughest and smartest defenses in the NFL - if anyone could figure out how to stop LT, it'd be NE and Chicago. Green Bay has a good defense too, and I'm sure they learned a lot watching game film of the first two weeks, and the Chargers are going to have to make some adjustments or everyone else will keep LT bottled up like he has been so far. But they have too much talent to keep playing this badly all season, unfortunately.

The Chiefs are in full rebuild mode, they're looking like the scrubs of the division. The Broncos are OK, Cutler is developing and they have a solid backfield situation unlike previous years.

The Raiders arent as bad as everyone is saying - people are just so used to bagging on them that they dont realize when they've gotten a lot better. They had one stolen from them in Denver, then stole one from Cleveland. But LaMont Jordan is the 2nd leading rusher in the NFL right now, Ronald Curry is really coming out, the defense has made some big stops when they need them, and the only thing holding them back has been McCown's mediocre QBing. If Culpepper can come in and do a more solid job, they could make some big upsets this year.

Basically, there are way weaker divisions in the NFL. Look at the NFC South, for instance...the Saints have been in freefall mode, the Falcons self-destructed in the preseason, the Panthers have been collapsing on defense, and the Bucs look like they might win the division, even with a cellophane offensive line and running game that cant get into a groove.

Or look at the NFC West, no one's spectacular there either. Bulger and Jackson in St Louis have done squat (and Bulger's my fantasy QB grr...), Leinart hasnt found his groove with his all-pro receiver corps, Gore has fallen back into his pre-2006 kind of pattern and Alex Smith is still looking like a rookie, Shaun Alexander never got back to his MVP-level form.

I'd say the AFC West is just ok. The AFC East is bad aside from the Pats, the AFC North is bad except for the Steelers, The NFC (L)East is competitive, but no strong teams (Dallas has a suspect D). The NFC North is bad (no the Pack are not nearly as good as their weak schedule suggests, and Chicago's Offensive is pathetic). The NFC South is laughable, and the NFC West is not strong either.

I'd say the season will be full of surprises, and everything will come down to the wire. Actually, it will be very exciting all season.....

Denver will take care of their red zone problems. With all that talent on offense it's just a matter of time before they start clicking. Denver's major problem is stopping the run. That's whats killing them. If Denver can stop the run things are going to turn around swiftly. Cutler proved to me anyway that he can handle pressure and make plays when it counts. Those 4th down conversion passes in the Buffalo game proved that. With the offense it's just a matter of time.(Travis Henry, Javon Walker, Brandon Stokley...That's a impressive list). We all know about Denver's secondary so I won't mention that.

As for the rest of the division I don't know what to say. Kansas City and Oakland are done for and San Diego needs to get back on track on both sides of the ball. It's a talented team but the coaching isn't there in my opinion. They could also use some help in the receiving department. They can't rely on Gates all the time.
