| If Michael Vick is banned for life by the NFL, would the CFL be likely to let him in? |

I read in an AP article today that Vick could very well be banned for life by the NFL under the league's personal conduct policy for his involvements with dogfighting and gambling. If this were to happen, would the CFL be likely to let him join? What about "minor leagues" like the AFL? Or would it be time for Vick to hang up his cleats? |

It depends on the CFL. I think they would really be interested; the Arena Football league could be a great place for Vick which would spark up interest again. |

Vick needs to get out of the spotlight period if he takes this plea deal An NFL ban does not preclude Vick from playing in other leagues. I seriously doubt it will come to that but should it, I would not be surprised to see Vick go to the CFL. if hes lucky enough to play in canada ..maybe, or arena football has its first major star! It's our media..etc in the states that are portraying him like he is Satan. after a year or 2, he can/prob will be in the CFL. Dallas will take him as a running back, if he lifts a bunch of weights in prison and bulks up.... so I've heard Without a doubt. It wont happen but the cfl or afl would jump all over that. if he has had a DWI or DUI ever they wont let him past the border.... The CFL caught a lot of crap over letting Ricky Williams play, so i doubt Vick would get a chance. As for the AFL, he'd be unstoppable, but I'm not sure they'd give him a shot, especially since the NFL has a huge stake in it now. He's virtually done with football, barring a miracle and a GM with balls stepping up to give him a break. I think the CFL would take him. They need a big name in that league to draw some veiwers. |
