Could Kentucky make it to a BSC Bowl Game?

If Kentucky wins out, then they are tied with Florida(TB goes to UF), Tennesse(TB goes to UK), and Georgia(TB goes to UK). This will send Florida to the SEC Championship game against LSU. Now If LSU wins out and beats Florida in the SEC Championship, then they most likely will go to the BCS Championship game. With Florida lossing then Kentucky will be #2 in the SEC. Since LSU will go to the BCS Championship, then that leaves the Sugar Bowl open for a SEC school, and since Kentucky will #2, then they should go to the Sugar Bowl. Right?

Murdock, We didn't lose to Ole' Miss. We lost to Bowl-eligable Mississippi State. The other two losses were South Carolina and Florida.

Man I wish, that would be great!!

I think if we win out we'll be going to either the Cap One or the Cotton Bowl. Either of which would be great. The loss to Miss St killed our chances of a BCS bid.

And to anyone, Thomas, who thinks that the Cats wouldn't bring an enormous following to a bowl game let me give one example of what real Cat fans will do to cheer on their team; my wedding anniversary is 12/31 and I plan on celebrating this years the same way I did last years, Following the Cat's to wherever they go and watching them whoop some ***!

GO BIG BLUE!!!

i wish but sadly no

Any team that loses to Miss St. doesn't deserve to be in a BCS bowl

Lol, its hilarious how far fans will stretch in order to see their team go to (bowl game, playoffs, super bowl, etc etc) Christ dude give it up Kentucky is NOT BCS CALIBER. I know that, the guy next to me knows that, and deep down inside you know that.

Be happy with the Capital one bowl, or the outback bowl....cheer for your team in them and hope they win.

there will only be two from the SEC, if that. Kentucky will have to get into the SEC title game to get that second slot.

awwwee... seems we have a sore bama fan in our midst though... poor murdoch, don't worry, there is always beating auburn to look forward to..

Geez... maybe... They would definitely need to win out. That would give them 9 wins.

The eligibility rules are as screwed up as the rest of the BCS rankings.

The tie-breaker has nothing to do with the Sugar Bowl. The tie-breaker only determines who goes to the SEC championship. Like last year, when Arkansas won the SEC West outright, lost the championship by only 10, but then LSU got to go to the Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl, like the other BSC Bowls, is based on BCS rank, not conference tie-breakers. So most likely, no, Kentucky will not go to the Sugar Bowl. The highest ranked (in the BCS) SEC team will, provided they're not playing for the National Championship. And by the way, when Kentucky beat Arkansas, they weren't ranked 22 (at least in the AP, the one that mattered at the time). We dropped out after the 3-point loss to Alabama.

I think the other bid would be Florida to go to the Sugar Bowl. I think the committee would choose a team that would bring a lot of fans and bring in a lot revenue during that bowl game.

They have to get into the SEC championship if they want any shot to the BCS otherwise no.
