| BCS is the best college ranking system ever used. Where am I wrong? |

Consider that you have about 100 division I teams. Also, how would you devise a playoff system? You can't have 64 teams - like in college basketball - play 3 games per week to get a champion. Thus, isn't the BCS the best system used to this point in time, even though it's not perfect? |

You could use the exact same system that the use on all other levels of collegiate football. Just a thought, seems to work for them so it most likely would work in the big boy league. It wont happen though due to money. |

Like this....9 team playoff....8 vs. 9 for a play-in spot, that way the 9th team can't argue. Then 1 vs 8, 2 vs. 7 and so on until a winner has been decided. It's completely fool proof. BCS is a horrible system, and I'm not sure why it still exists, there's been controversy every single year. naw man why not expand the season to accomodate a 16 or 32 team National Championship playoff? Let it go into late January.....The NFL could roll that hype into the Superbowl too ....... The BCS is the best system we have had, mostly because of the presence of the six computer polls the BCS uses which are far more objective than the media and coaches polls (for example, the computer polls take into account strength of schedule of each team). |
