| Should BCS stand for Bull Crap System? |
As of right now (11/25/06) 12:32 AM EST this is how the BCS Standings look: |
New ranks out Sunday. USC wins big and passes Mich. for #2. |

Makes sense, do you want USC ranked #2, then Shut Up. Since Arkansas isn't in the Top 5, you bet your *** it should be. It all depends on who they beat, Notre dame, merely got past Michigan State, an Unranked opponent, USC beat Nebraska, Cal, Oregon, and Arkansas all ranked. Notre Dame only beat Penn State. Florida beat LSU, and Tennessee. Michigan had an easy schedule. I like the BCS, if people were doing it, maybe it would be Bias. I think the rankings should be: Here is the problem with the playoff system. It takes away a huge part of what makes college football great. For example: The Mich-OSU game would have been greatly diminished if both teams knew they were already a playoff lock. Same thing for ND-USC. Would that game tomorrow be nearly as big if both of those teams were only playing for seeding? One of the great things about college football is that at the most, you can afford one loss, so fans hang on the edge of their seat each week seeing how long their team can stay undefeated. Lastly, I saw that someone on here said Mich had an easy schedule!? They played the #1 team-OSU, and handed two other teams, #6 ND, and Wisc, their only losses of the year. Not to mention that ND and OSU on the road. Please. If USC wins out, they will play the Bucks. If they stumble, it will indeed be a MICH-OSU Rematch. Sorry FLA, you have not impressed enough! Personally, I like the BCS system, but every year, there is something wrong. I would love to see a playoff system implemented, but until then, the BCS is okay. Every time they try to fix it, something else happens and it has to be tweaked again. YE SIT MAKES NO SENSE where is boise state west virgina, ritgers they all have ne loss it crazy. I totally agree with your logic. I can't wait for a playoff system! I don't know too much about football... but the general consensus at UF (I'm a student) is that the voting system sucks (well... we might just be biased this year... but whatever, haha). Michigan has lost to Ohio State. The title game is for the best team in the nation. How can Michigan be the National Champion if they have already lost to OSU, in the last games of their seasons?!! A rematch makes no sense. If we still go by a voting system and then in the end have an 8 team tournament, I say that that's not perfect, but it sure is much better than letting #1 and #2 be chosen by a vote. Sorry I didn't add much insight to this issue but just letting you know what's up down here at UF =) |
