It is a disaster that so much criticism has gone on the BCS because of the "computer" error. Chalk this year up to "voter" error because people just don't want to see a rematch. Michigan is still #2 in computers and in the minds of many people, but because voters don't want to see a rematch, they don't get a chance. Now I will go right ahead and contradict myself by saying that Michigan has had their crack and Florida should get a shot, I think that is great, BUT, the BCS title game should be between the two best teams in the nation. People have groaned about the BCS since it started because it is in the computers and it doesn't make since. This year, however, the voters are taking advantage of the system. They knew Michigan was still the 2nd best team in the nation, but for the sake of not wanting to see a rematch, knew they could slide another team in (Florida). This is not an attack at Florida at all. Heck I'm from Maine could care less what school it was. just nonsense

BCS is just flat out innacurate. The computers are supposed to make everything precise, and the coaches are there to curve things to what they want to see.

Most people think I'm another whining Wolverine fan but I dno't want a rematch, I just want genuine accurracy. If it takes a play off game for the two teams then let there be a playoff game, but the BCS needs to stop screwing over teams in this situation like Aubern was before, or how LSU and USC(or PSU?) had to share a title.

Michigan loses to the #1 team by THREE points. They remain at #2 on the BCS. End of schedule for Michigan. They ENDED their damn schedule at #2!!!

Next week comes and goes, Michigan doesn't play but gets bumped by USC. Michigan is now #3.

Next week comes and everyone is asking "Should Michigan have gotten bumped to #3? Should Michigan play Ohio State or should USC play Ohio State?

The unthinkable happens. USC loses. Michigan automatically gets it's #2 ranking back. But wait! Stop the press! Florida ranked #4 jumps two spots and takes the #2 spot.

Actually in the computers Florida and Michigan were #2. Florida played tougher teams, Michigan played 1 tough team and a couple of decent teams. Florida was the best in the SEC and Michigan was 2nd in the Big 10. I think calling this nonsense is a little overboard.
And for your first answer, They ended their schedule at #2, but Florida was at #4 with 2 games left. So you think that Florida's rivalry game and SEC Championship game should not count?

Michigan was TIED for number two. They weren't SOLE possession of number two as you imply. It was stated over and over again that Florida and Michigan were TIED in the computer. Perhaps it was to get Florida moved up by the voters, perhaps the ballots were already in and it was just to point out that this was about humans. I don't know all I know is they were TIED in the computers.

Michigan was #2 at the end of Michigan's season and Florida was #4. Florida moved up because they won a rivalry game and beat #8 Arkansas in the SEC championship.

I think it was a tough call, and both teams have a case, but it definitely isn't the conspiracy some people want to make it out to be.
