New BCS System idea?

Here is my idea for a new BCS system and i'd reallly like some feedback on it because it still has some flaws:

After every team plays an 11 game season (no conference championship games), the 6 major conference champions and the top 4 teams that did not win a major conference championship play a 12th game based on their BCS ranking:

# 1 conf champ vs # 6 conf. champ,
# 2 conf champ vs # 5 conf champ,
# 3 conf champ vs # 1 non-conf champ,
# 4 conf champ vs # 2 non-conf champ,
# 3 non-conf champ vs # 4 non-conf champ.

Teams can be reshufled for these games to avoid rematches

After this 12th game the BCS ranks all of the teams and pits the top 2 against each other in the national championship

This system gives every contender a chance to prove that they can beat another contender

Heres an idea, #1 Spartans vs no one, because we all know that they are the best.

It wouldn't work. At the end of the year everyone wants to see #1 play #2...Period....

The BCS system that would work best, especially in this year's situation, is the plus-one system. As it is, the top 6 teams all have at least one game against another top 6 team and the BCS games will all put another set of great games together. The BCS championship game should stop being one of the bowls, and should start being a "plus one" game that is played the next week after all the BCS bowls.

This would keep the bowl system intact while giving you all the benefits of a playoff and leave you with a legitimate champion who will be forced to beat two more of the top 4 teams after their regular season.

How bout this instead. Keep the BCS ratings the same. Then take the top 10 teams and have a tournament. 1 vs 10. 2 vs 9 and so on. then the 2 teams who make it through all their games play for the national championship. If you do it your way the best conference will win not the best team. In my opinion. Some conferences have bad years that would be the trouble.

We should have a playoff system with the top 8 BCS teams.

A play off system would work the best but the BCS wont change because the bowls make too much money. I think that the top 25 should all get a fighting chance but it will sadly never happen.

Sorry, but I prefer a full playoff. 16 teams (seeded #1 through #16, with heavy emphasis based on schedule strength and no human polls involved), with the 6 major conference champions getting automatic bids and the other 10 bids being at-large. Seedings can be adjusted to avoid having conference teams play each other until the semifinals.

First round has the top 8 teams getting home-field advantage. No reseeding after each round, so second round would have 1/16 winner playing 8/9, 2/15 vs. 7/10, 3/14 vs. 6/11, and 4/13 vs. 5/12. Second round games at "lower-level" bowl sites (e.g. Gator, Cotton, Liberty) with one of the big four (Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta) hosting one of these games as well. Semifinals at two of the other "big" bowl sites, final at the fourth. Rotate throughout a four-game cycle as to who hosts quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship games.

8 is too few, and only rewards conference champions, which would devalue the strength-of-schedule component, which needs to be in place to avoid having Florida play the Western Carolinas of the world all the time.
