If Michigan loses the game vs Ohio St.. and gets jumped
by Notre Dame, i'm sure every viewer (minus ND fans)
will raise hell.. the BCS is overranking the Irish simply
because they are one of the most popular teams in the country
regardless of whether or not they are good..

They remain independent for the BCS money which
they will not have to share with any other school..
and some argue so that they can play tougher schedules
against teams across the country.. but they chose to
play the Army, Air Force, Navy, S. Carolina, Stanford..

they aren't getting any recognition over the Irish..

Talk about how they are undefeated, fine, but also talk about them not playing anyone this, or any, year.
Come on, the Big East is barely one small step above the MAC as far as the strength of their teams, on a national level.
Seriously, if you put any of the Big East teams in a real conference (Big Ten, Big 12 or SEC) they might win 4 conference games, which, incidentally, is why Notre Dame didn't join the Big Ten, not because they would have to share the bowl game $.
Just ask Penn State, who was supposed to come in and dominate the conference every year, how many Big Ten titles they have won since joining in 1993 (2;1994,2005).

OK, lets talk about ND's SOS (Army 3-7;Air Force 4-5; Navy 7-3 (playing an even easier schedule than ND); MSU 4-7 (there is no way they should have won that game); PU; Stanford 1-9; UNC 1-9).
The only teams that they play are PSU (which is down this year),GT (which they should have lost), UCLA (ditto), USC (which they will probably lose), and Michigan (which killed them, AT NOTRE DAME 47-21)

Maybe you need to go and look at the strength of schedule that the Irish have before you start spouting off stupid comments. Then again your a hater of the Irish and dont care about facts. Rutgers will get some respect when they actually play a decent schedule, same for Boise State. You want Bias maybe you need to look at some of the teams ranked in the top ten with the Irish and their SOS and then come and talk your smack. Get your facts straight and come back with a better argument, until you do you will continue to sound like an uneducated nut job who has it out for the Irish.

Thanks to their money and even having a movie about their school (Rudy, Rudy...yuck), they will always be overated.

I certainly think the Irish are overrated - they should have lost 2 games to unranked teams (michigan state and ucla) but pulled them out. They most definatly don't deserve to jump to the front of the 1 loss teams.

Like usc deserves to be ranked ast high at they are? at least michigan was ranked when nd lost so badly. and strength of schedule... ohio state-- 7 unranked opponents, michigan -- 6 unranked opponents, nd -- 6 unranked, fl -- 7 unranked, usc -- 6 unranked now, but nebraska just came back into the top 25. tennessee also played air force, rutgers played navy. usc, navy, oregon, oregon st, cal & nd all play stanford. evidently ALL teams have some cupcake games. rutgers -- gotta hand it to them for beating louisville. one decent opponent for the season does not make a nat'l contender.
