If at end of the season there is 5 strong one loss teams and no unbeatens isnt the BCS title game just a bowl?

Think about it if you had Oregon, WVU, Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma, Missouri all with one loss how could you honestly tell me by playing 1 game you determined who was the best out of that group? If you have 5 one loss teams it makes all the bowl games about equal. Isn't this system just junk?

Well, I don't think that both Missouri and Oklahoma can both end up with only one loss. But other than that your point is well taken, and I would have to say exactly correct.

oregon puts up crazy offensive numbers

west virginia is a tad overrated, but still great offense with white and slaton

ohio state is the most consistent team in college football right now, sadly put from a michigan fan

lsu is the best team

oklahoma is very strong

missouri is good

that is tough

here is what you do

1. LSU
2. Kansas
3. Ohio State
4. Oregon
5. Oklahoma
6. play-in game between WVU and Missouri

Missouri over West Virginia

6. missouri
3. ohio state

5. oklahoma
4. oregon

4. oregon
1. lsu

3. ohio state
2. kansas

3. ohio state
1. lsu

LSU WINS!

there is your playoff system

Yea I guess it is but you can't take take away the prestige of the BSC title game.

well technically, they're all bowls

some just have bigger names

It's not like the NFL doesn't award a champion when every team loses a game. (Happens almost every year)

And, also, what isn't given enough attention are the undefeated teams, in the BCS, the only undefeated is Kansas, and outside, Hawaii also is unbeaten, although neither are given any real championship consideration as of yet, maybe Kansas, at best.

That's why the whole playoff call comes into play, and that's something said a bajillion times before...

First Ohoma and Missouri will not both be 1 loss teams.. if Missouri beats Kansas then they will play Oklahoma. Now you can place Kansas in there and Arizona STate, and have 6 1 loss teams.
The title game will be between whoever the BCS system decides is 1 and 2 and the mythical champion will be crowned,,, remember the NCAA beyond allowing its members to participate has nothing to do with a Football champion in Div 1A.

Here is what is (I hope) going to happen.
First Kansas will lose its rivalry game to K St. Then they will go in and beat Mizzou and Oklahoma to win the Big 12... but effectively removing the chance of a Big 12 to play for the NC.
Second LSU(Lazy Slobby Unics) will lose the SEC title game to either GA or TN knocking them out.
U Conn will throttle W Virginia knocking them out of a BCS bowl and (here is the shakiest part of this scenario)
Oregon will lose its Rivalry game as the Beavers chop down the Mighty Ducks.

This series of events leaves The Ohio State University and Arizona State University to play for the NC in "The Rose Bowl-East '07" OSU 42 ASU 31

Oregon will settle for "The Real Rose Bowl" and play the upcoming Fighting Illini of Illinois
UI 31 UO 28

I guess your team isnt going to make it .........Sorry

I think it's obvious your team is not in the hunt anymore. Sorry, momma said there would be days like this.
