All those close games everyone is complaining about were played with several of LSU's primary players injured and yet they still won (except Kentucky) because of their depth. I do not think another team in the nation can play four quarters with LSU. Sure they might keep up or do better in the first three but when LSU starts cycling in their fresh second sting that is almost as good as their first the other teams won't stand a chance. The LSU has one of the best statistical defenses in the Nation the only teams that have better defensive stats are the ones with much weaker schedules. Their offense is not the same caliber as other top 10 teams but they play in the SEC (they are know for "D" not offense).

If LSU stops throwing to LaFell and uses Ducet (who is finally full strength) and Byrd I think you will see a huge improvement in their offense.

People tend to forget about the key player injuries LSU faced for several games this season when they played close games.. Doucet out 4 games,, Will Arnold out 4 games.. Matt Flyn's ankle injury...All these in a 4 game run that hurt them more than they will admit. But,, in spite of these key players out,, they still won. Then there was Dorsey's knee injury and now Beckwith. Get all these people healthy and back on the field at the same time.... I feel they can beat anyone one at any time. And.. right now, even with all the injuries... they are still the best. But,, this is just my humble opinion.

I am a huge Oregon fan, but in all honesty i would have to say that it is Oklahoma, I have watched them a little and their quaterback is absolutely remarkable, he is basically a college Brett Farve. We are good but we lost at home by a touchdown against a team that is not very good, LSU is very lucky to only have one loss and Oklahoma lost on the road by a last second field goal. My prediction for the Big 12 Championship: Oklahoma 48 Kansas 18, National Championship: Oregon 38 Oklahoma 44 (OT)

I'd like to say Kansas, but they haven't beaten anybody, now if they run the table KU for sure.

I can't go with LSU, because all they've done is play in the SEC and beat up other SEC schools. SEC schools have played a combined 13 non-conference games, how do we know that the SEC is any good if they won't play anyone worth playing outside the conference?

If KU can't run the table, my vote would go to Oregon, if for no other reason than I haven't seen OU or Mizzou play this year.

Oklahoma has by far the most talent, but they are VERY young (mostly frosh/soph.) and don't always play up to their potential. If they play their best game, no one can beat them.

OU then Kansas. The Big 12 is obviously the best conference with 3 teams in the top 10.

This question is fun because there are so many people saying LSU. A lot of people are going by statistics and W-L. This is why college football needs the BCS playoff system.

The most complete team in college football is the Ohio State Buckeyes. I love the Crimson Tide, but the defense is underappreciated and they win football games. I just find that school to be the best overall in college football,

you people have been drinkin your bath water!! oregon is by far and away the best team in the nation this year. they play the 3 toughest schedule and have only one loss and in that game they dominated till the last minute of the 4th qtr. no one even comes close to the ducks but say what you want, root for who you want but oregon is heads and shoulders above everyone else. tomorrow night baby against arizona. watch, see, and learn clones.
