Who is now your pick to play in the college National championship game?

After Oregon loss last night, who the choice now for the title.

Kansas is undeafeted but they have to play Missouri last game.

Napalm hit the nail right on the head. If LSU can't get by Georgia (which I hope happens), it will be WVU vs Big 12 champ

it will be WVU and LSU

go WVU Report It

Everyone who named a team proves they know nothing. There are many 1-loss BCS teams right now. Calm down, and see how they finish. Anyone who says they know who is the best or who should play is lying. Report It

Boise State! LOL Kidding, of course.

I think whoever wins the Big 12 championship game will be in there. LSU might be the frontrunner for the SEC right now, but that doesn't mean they are a cinch to make it to the game.

It'll be Kansas and LSU.

if Kansas can run the table....they will face lsu for the championship.

Kansas and LSU but remember LSU still has to survive the SEC Championship game. If they lose, well, we could see some strange match ups.

Kansas will not run the table.

I say LSU & Oklahoma

I would love you see Hawaii on the national stage, but that's not going to happen.

It will probably be LSU and West Virginia.

I think it will be Oklahoma and LSU. of course, this will not be easy, because both these teams have to play a championship game against another top 10 team before they can compete for the NC. teams like Ohio State, who play in a weak conference or have no championship game, have an easier time, but I think it will be these two

Well, I don't see LSU folding against teams that are a combined 9-11 (2-10 in the SEC) in the next two weeks. Then again, I didn't forsee Oregon playing that badly against 5-6 (4-4) Arizona. But unless the Razorbacks or Rebels can pull the biggest upset of the year, I doubt a 1-loss LSU is getting knocked out of the picture, especially if they win that SEC title game.
With 2 losses and no title game, Oregon's probably done for the Championship hunt.
That pretty much leaves the KU/Mizzou/OU triangle. Fans of the Fighting Manginos should be rooting for their in-state rival Wildcats as hard as they root for the birds against the Cyclones. Assuming KU can beat Iowa State, the Wildcats beating the Tigers (however unlikely) would give KU the Big XII North outright. {Mizzou would be 5-2 in-conference, two games behind 7-0 KU. In that case, even if the Tigers were to beat Kansas, they would still be 6-2 while the Hawks would drop to only 7-1; meaning KU would go on to the Big XII championship game.} KU's early schedule means that they will almost have to win against both Mizzouri and beat either OU or Texas in the title game.
Mizzou must win out to have any chance of getting in. K-State shouldn't be a problem this weekend; but the Border War is always intense, it'll be doubly so with the possibility of a shot at the national title on the line.
OU controls its own destiny in the South. They hold the head-to-head tiebreaker with 5-2 Texas; so they could lose either Tech or OSU and still get into the Big XII title. A loss to either of those teams, however, and they'll have to settle for a BCS bowl instead of the championship game.
Depending on the next few weeks performances, I still think West Virginia could sneak in. With the possibility of beating two currently top 25 teams (Cincy and UConn) in the next two weeks; should the Big XII stumble, we could be seeing the #5 Mountaineers get in.
My pick? I'm gonna say LSU vs the Big XII Champion for the national title. As of right now, next week's KU/Mizzou game is 3v5 in the BCS standings, and the winner will play the current #4. Can you really argue that the winner of THAT single-elim series shouldn't have a shot at the trophy?

Edit: West Virginia is #6 in the BCS, and #5 in the AP poll

WVU vs. One of the three from the big 12.

LSU is good, but if I get my way they'll play Georgia in the SEC title game and I just feel Georgia could pull it off. (no disrespect to LSU, the SEC is just a helluva conference to get through)

Also Ohio State shouldn't be counted out.

Oregon losing is great for my mountaineers. Maybe ESPN will finally mention us when they talk bout the BCS title game.

lsu vs wvu. the big 12 --3 will all lose

Oklahoma and LSU. Kansas is a great story, but I don't see them beating the Sooners.

Who knows at this point. I would hope LSU wins out but the SEC has been beating the crap out of itself all season. This is what makes college football interesting.

LSU vs. Oklahoma

I have to go with KU I think they can beat the almighty OU but I am from Ks so I have to stay with my team Ou lsu they all are great too. Some good games this season

OU vs OSU is legitimate. Oklahoma wins out, LSU loses in the conference championship, and WVU loses one its final two, this could happen. Don't laugh, even crazier things have happened this year!

kansas

Kansas Jayhawks and the Oklahoma Sooners.

Ohio State and Kansas
