I know everybody says that the bowl games are all about money, but, I don't see how they are more profitable than what a playoff would be. A Playoff would have just as many games. Actually more games, since there would be several rounds.

I think you are seeing the first step with the BCS title game. two more games and you will have an eight team playoff

The bowl games are about money, that's correct. I know we would still have the bowl games and everything would be hunky dory, but the bowls and their host cities would loose money. It would be harder to sell tickets in advance, and it would cost fans a lot more money to travel and follow their favorite teams. Another reason they make all that money in the bowl games is because the teams are in the designated cities for about a week at a time. Then the fans come and stay longer and put more money into that community. I don't think that would happen as much in a playoff system.

I'm all for playoffs, heck yes, but I'm just giving you the reason's that there aren't playoffs.

YES we need a playoff system!!

I am tired of everyone talking about the screwed up BCS...why can't the presidents and A.D.'s get together and finally make a decision on this problem...every year someone is going to get screwed over this system....we did in 2004 when we went 13-0 in the SEC and Oklahoma and USC played for it and USC only played 2 to 3 good teems that year..
