OK, Give me your case for why your college football team should be ranked number one?

I'm looking for a legitimate case here, win-loss, strength of schedule, and anything you can make up that makes sense. Winner gets 10 points!

Oh, so dodgerfan, you acknowledge that you know who LSU is and that they ARE in fact a Division I school?! Well you should watch this video and see how STUPID your school looks in it. Sorry man but that's just plain retarded, and the narrator sounds like a ***...no offense.

I think my team should be #1 because they ARE #1 according to most major poles and the majority of people that know college football and are open minded about it.
Geaux Tigers!

cause im not on it

Alright.....

5-1 vs the teams that were ranked in the Top 25 at the time of the game.

The only loss came in triple overtime on the road.

Strength of schedule is in the top 20 in the nation.

Have come from behind in the fourth quarter to win 3 games this season (showing character, finding ways to win games you shouldn't).

I will give you a case for who I think should be number 1. I think it should be Kansas. They are undefeated, and even though they haven't played a tough schedule, if they win out, they will have played 2 teams in the top 10, and deserve to be number 1. As for the one loss teams, if you took Oregon or LSU, then it wouldn't bother me either way. I would probably take Oregon, but that is because I think they have the best player, and really nothing much more than that. I also think WVU should be given serious consideration if they win out. They will have beaten several top 25 teams, and their only loss will be to USF, which was ranked as high as 2 in the country, on the road, and after losing their best player, and turning the ball over 7 times.

Oregon Ducks:
1. Tougher Strength of Schedule (source: Sagarin Poll):
Oregon #12
LSU #19

2. Only loss:
Oregon to then #6 Cal
LSU to then # 18 Kentucky

3. Non-conf schedule:
Oregon: Houston, Michigan (in the Big House) & Fresno St.
LSU: Middle Tenn, LA Tech, Tulane

Wash: ESPN Gameday sites. Each school has hosted twice this year.

Clincher: Hottest cheerleaders.. Oregon wins hands down!

I'm going with Oregon, hands down.

The first thing I'm going to talk about is there loss, yes it was at home, to a very tough Cal. A team that has not been able to get momentum back ever since Longshore got injured. The ducks out played them, and unfortunately turned the ball over 4 times in the fourth quarter, the last one diving toward the end-zone to tie the game. It is the game that haunts us.

This is a team that keeps winning with big plays, a lot of points, and a lot of yards. When the Ducks run there offense even the announcers have a hard time keeping track of where the ball is, they are a quick and physical team. There is something that seems to get missed about the ducks, they've played the entire second half of the season without key players because of injuries, Jeremiah Johnson, Brian Paysinger, Cameron Colvin, A.J. Tuitele, and John Bacon, all play making starters on offense or defense and the Ducks are still winning convincingly. There defense seems rocky at times but during big games they make the plays that are needed to get the W. I think that the Ducks could beat any team out there right now and do it in a way so there would be no doubt about the Ducks

IBisOK; you missed the fact that LSU's non-conference schedule included a win over #9 ranked Virginia Tech, or else you left it out to bolster your own position.

LSU has a real tiger for a mascot. That's the only reason we should be #1. We haven't won any tough games. We have a cupcake schedule in the SEC. We cheated in every game we won and the refs were paid off. Glenn Dorsey is actually an ex-NFL player in disguise. Oh, and academically, other conferences are superior to the SEC. And every single person in Louisiana is inbred, uneducated and chases their sister on Friday nights.

well my team is USC (trojans) not gamecocks and i dont think they deserve number one and neither does Lsu because there first 4or 5 games where vs. weak teams.....
I think oregon Deserves number one they have a Great Qb, rb, and a fast defense i know they lost 1 game but they lost to a guhd cal team which is now struggling but i think oregon will beat lsu in the title game if they meet which will likely happen
