because all of the players on an NFL defense are fast enough to adjust and defend whatever option the QB chooses. In college ball most of the teams are not quite so evenly matched in the speed department.

NFL Lineman and Linebackers are too fast.

That's because in the NFL, the defenders are a LOT faster than in college, so they can MURDER that play. In college, some backs are really fast(think Bush), and they can just dominate, same with some QBs.

edit-- oh u said why.. mainly because of the linebackers in the nfl, they're much faster and their reads r much better.. also the line would take care of the possible full back hand off up the middle on the triple option and the linebackers would be heads up against the qb (who they'd blow up) and the runningback which by the time it was pitched to him would have to beat at least 3 defenders

The real reason for this is simple.

It's because any option RB or QB cannot do in the NFL what they did in college, because the defenders are better.

mostly bc NFL is more strategic and "by the playbook", and more safe and not sorry

College anything goes.... risk is their main factor and objective

Have u noticed their is more fumbles in college than NFL

basically their are more trick plays in college than NFL

those defensive tackles in the NFL run faster 40 times than some college Linebackers and Safeties

The above answers are correct, but also, you don't want your quarterback who is making $10,000,000 a year running the option where he could easily get injured.

Because unlike college players NFL players are smart and would sniff that crap out.

College football is such a low quality joke and I am constantly perplexed as to why people watch it.

the overall speed and power is totally different in the NFL. everything is so much faster and less mistakes are made. All though, i would love to see this play in the NFL. I think it is an exciting play.
